Lance Bass asks fans to forgive Justin Timberlake just like Britney Spears’ did amid her explosive memoir

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lance Bass, a former member of NSYNC, has shared his opinion on the recent controversy involving his ex-bandmate Justin Timberlake and is asking fans to forgive him.

Timberlake has been facing relative backlash from fans after Britney Spears revealed some details about their past relationship in her memoir ‘The Woman in Me.’

Lance Bass hopes fans will forgive Justin Timberlake and move on from the drama

Bass said, according to a video released on TMZ, that everyone has opinions and that the world is full of hate, and forgiveness is needed.

“Look, I mean everyone has their own opinion I just feel like the world is so full of hate right now that we need to practice a little forgiveness," Lance Bass said.

He asked fans if Britney Spears could forgive Timberlake they should too.

He said, “Britney did. So, let’s take a note from her.”

The 'Better Place' singer said that he already purchased Spears’ memoir and was planning to “read it on the plane.”

Britney Spears drops bombshells in her memoir

Earlier this week, Timberlake turned off his Instagram comments after the 'Toxic' singer dropped several bombshells in her memoir about their relationship.

This included allegations about him cheating on her and that she had an abortion after Timberlake told her that he “didn’t want to be a father.”

“I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated," Spears wrote in the book.

“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

Justin Timberlake has expressed regret and support for Britney Spears previously

Even as Timberlake has remained quiet about Spears' revelation, he had sought support for her to end her 13-year conservatorship, which was officially terminated in November 2021.

"We should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, at the time.

“No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body. No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for," he wrote at the time.

Spears told People ahead of her memoir’s release, “It is finally time for me to raise my voice and speak out, and my fans deserve to hear it directly from me. No more conspiracy, no more lies — just me owning my past, present, and future.”
