ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA: According to court records acquired by TMZ on May 17, 2023, Kim Zolciak accused her estranged husband Kroy Biermann of having a drug addiction. According to reports, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum filed a petition seeking that the former NFL player surrenders.

Kim and Kroy had been married for 11 years and have four children -- Kroy Jagger, Kash, and twins Kane and Kaia. They also have two adult children, Brielle and Ariana, whom the former Atlanta Falcons player adopted in 2013. Kroy filed a petition last week demanding exclusive legal and physical custody of his biological children, while his estranged wife requested the same. She was, nevertheless, ready to grant her ex-husband visiting privileges.

Kim demands Kroy be tested for divorce amid divorce

Kim has sought that her separated spouse Kroy be made to undergo random drug testing while they fight for primary custody of their children. Kim, according to court filings, submitted a request for Kroy's hair follicle testing. She requested that he not trim or remove any of his hair until the screening was over. Kim also claimed that she witnessed him using marijuana in their marital home.

According to the article, the process will comprise a five-panel hair follicle drug check. Kim allegedly spotted Kroy using marijuana and has "concerns" about the "safety" of their four small children, according to TMZ. Weed is not legal in Georgia, where the exes live, according to legal authorities.

On May 8, 2023, Kim and Kroy filed separate divorce papers. Both petitioned the court for primary custody of their four minor children. Both Kim and Kroy sought that the other pay child and spousal support. Kroy stated in his petition that he got married on November 11, 2011. He declared the marriage "irretrievably broken". Kim stated the same thing in her petition. The couple is in significant financial trouble since the IRS claims they owe more than $1 million in overdue taxes.

Kim 'ready to move on'

Kim is eager to start a new chapter after her separation from her spouse. According to a source close to the 'RHOA' actress, she "has expressed to friends she is ready to move on and wants to find a man willing to finally pull his weight." But, for the time being, she is preoccupied with the divorce proceedings.

"Kim and Kroy insist they both want the kids. The main problem is money," claimed the insider. "The pressure of the bills just keeps getting worse. And it causes non-stop fighting because Kim refuses to change her lifestyle, even though she knows she has no money to spend," the insider added.

According to another report, the former couple is still living together under the same roof. "Kroy hasn't asked her to leave the house. They're just avoiding each other and not speaking inside the home at the moment," said a second insider, adding, "She's not looking to date or even thinking about it right now."
