LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelly Clarkson is being transparent about how she handled her divorce. The 41-year-old singer shared she had some "unhealthy habits" after her divorce from Brandon Blackstock during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 on June 22.
After nearly seven years of marriage, Clarkson and Blackstock filed for divorce in June 2020. The former couple, who are parents to River, 9, and Remington, 7, formalized their divorce in March 2022. Though in an effort to "make it work," Clarkson and Blackstock sought marriage therapy before calling it quits, she says she "knew in my heart it just wasn't going to."
Clarkson was recently questioned about returning to the dating scene and whether she intends to date a renowned man in a recent appearance for 'The Howard Stern Show.' She told Howard, "I think that I'm smart enough to listen and wise enough with age to know that one relationship doesn't define them all."
Kelly then added the perks of a 'marriage' and said, "I think marriage is beautiful, and I think that's awesome for some people, and I think that's incredible, but I don't think it suits me at this point in my life." Howard also tried to test what Clarkson's ideal man is like as he put forward the names of some high-profile single celebs and questioned her if she's like to consider dating them. The singer's response is a delight, and we know she has her priorities on point.
Pete Davidson
When Clarkson does decide to reintroduce herself, she won't do it via Tinder, Raya, or any other dating platform. She said, "I'm not against them or above them. It's just that [they scare] me." Howard assumed that since she wasn't interested in the applications, she may choose a well-known eligible bachelor, and that's the point where the popular boy named Pete Davidson knocks.
Howard joked and asked, "How long will it be before I see you dating Pete Davidson?" To which Kelly replied, "Here's the thing: He's cute, and he's funny," Kelly laughed before admitting she couldn't picture dating him. "Pete Davidson, you are wonderful, but no, I'm not looking."
Numerous Hollywood women have been romantically associated with Pete Davidson. The "Saturday Night Live" comic plainly prefers famous ladies, from Cazzie David to Ariana Grande to Kim Kardashian, no matter their age.
Tom Brady
As the interview proceeded, Howard poured more options into Kelly's dating list of candidates and asked about Tom Brady. When asked What about Tom Brady? to which she replied, "I have a lot of confidence, I am a very confident woman, [but] I don't think I'd like to follow [his ex-wife] Gisele Bündchen," she responded with a laugh. "How do you not think about [following her] when you're making out with him?"
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen confirmed their divorce after 13 years of marriage. Although there have been rumors of separation for some time, the couple confirmed their divorce on October 28, 2023. They both sent thank-you messages on Instagram for their time spent together while also discussing how tough it was to make this choice.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Kelly's dating list candidate's last name was Arnold Schwarzenegger,75. When asked about dating Schwarzenegger, Kelly replied, "I don't work out enough. That would be an intimidating relationship," Clarkson concluded.
Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 75, faced a "very difficult" time in his life when his wife, Maria Shriver, requested a divorce due to the actor's infidelity. According to the star of FUBAR, Shriver was "devastated" when she learned that the actor had a son with the family's maid, as per reports.
