Josh Hartnett denies feud with Harrison Ford on 'Hollywood Homicide' set, says 'we got along really well'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Josh Harnett, who plays Harrison Ford in 'Oppenheimer', disputes any disagreements they may have ever had. In 2003 comedy film 'Hollywood Homicide' followed the escapades of two LA cops, the two actors co-starred.

On a $75 million budget, the movie only made a little over $50 million, which was a huge letdown for both performers. According to reports, Harnett and Ford's argument occurred on-site. The actor brushes off the media coverage of their altercation twenty years after the film's debut.

'The bane of my existence'

Harnett asserted that he and Ford were never as at odds as had been implied in publications during an interview with The Independent. Instead, the actor thinks the remarks were misinterpreted. He said, "Drama sold newspapers, especially back then. But we actually got along really well. There were things that we disagreed about on set as far as [the script], and there was a lot of rewriting happening. But it was misinterpreted as 'They don't get along!' It certainly wasn't a set that was filled with tension. I think I did call him 'the bane of my existence' when we were on the press tour for that movie, but that was just because he was constantly ribbing me. And that's just his way."

Harnett has the opportunity to discuss his alleged adversary now that 'Oppenheimer' is on the way, but Ford and Harnett aren't the only characters debunking exaggerated rivalries. Major battles that appeared to have entirely shaped Hollywood's course are beginning to be reviewed and contested.

Despite assurances that he wouldn't work with Diesel ever again, the conflict between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel appeared to be resolved as Johnson returned to the Fast & Furious series, as per reports.

Hollywood quarrel involving Ford that has been retracted

Additionally, this is the second Hollywood quarrel involving Ford that has been retracted. Ford reportedly said that his altercation with Brad Pitt was the result of a miscommunication and that he has since grown to really admire the other actor. That occurs more than 25 years after the contentious filming of 'The Devil's Own' led to a major argument between the two performers. Even the humorous fight between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman influenced the creation of the next superhero film 'Deadpool 3', in which the two stars will co-star, as reported by Screenrant.
