New Real Madrid signing Joselu has expressed his delight at being given a second chance at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 33-year-old joined this summer on a season-long loan from Espanyol, 13 years after he left Real Madrid's academy. Joselu did manage two senior appearances for Los Blancos, scoring in both, and is now keen to add to that long-standing total.
Joselu is not expected to be Real Madrid's starting striker, with PSG's Kylian Mbappe the top priority and Tottenham's Harry Kane also high on the wish list, but the towering targetman is keen to offer a new dynamic to a Real squad built on speed and flair.
"I'm a different player to those they have in the squad," Joselu told club media. "Everything [Carlo Ancelotti] teaches me and can learn in the first months of pre-season will be beneficial."

Reflecting on his first stint in Madrid, Joselu was all too happy to discuss the fact the goal on his debut was set up by Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I made my debut in La Liga with the team of my life and it's a dream," he explained. "I scored a goal on top of that.
"They always ask me who gave me the pass and of course, I have to say that Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best players in Real's history, gave it to me. These are moments that are impossible to erase from memory.
"I remember that the next day we played a match against Alcoyano in the promotion phase in my first year with Castilla and I spent the whole night in a frenzy. You are very young and you are alive those moments with great intensity."
