Joe Rogan highlights Canadian government's regulations for podcasts and streaming platforms: 'That's dictatorship'

AUSTIN, TEXAS: In a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' Joe Rogan and his guests, Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin, delved into the regulations imposed by the Canadian government on podcasts and streaming platforms.

They even highlighted the dangers of allowing the Canadian government to interfere in podcasts and streamings. Francis Foster is a stand-up comedian and Konstantin Kisin is a political commentator.

Francis Foster narrated Canadian government's regulation

Francis Foster started the conversation by stating that podcast is a controversial issue in Canada that involves the government regulating podcasts and streaming platforms that generate over $10 million in revenue.

According to him, the government wants these platforms to register with the Canadian government and hand over information about their content. The government also wants to silence people who disagree with their cause.

Foster said, "I was reading about what they're doing; it's terrifying, so they want to bring in this bill whereby they regulate podcasts, so what they want to do is every podcast, streamer, or whatever it is a platform that makes more than $10 million in revenue, not profit, has to register with the Canadian government. They then want them to hand over information about their content."

Rogan was surprised by the regulations and exclaimed, "Oh my God! Imagine getting a hold of Alex Jones (conspiracy theorist)." He further expressed, "Terrifying!"

Joe Rogan claims government actions are threat to people

Joe Rogan and his guests criticized the government, asserting that it does not support peaceful protests. However, it is argued that such a stance is unacceptable.

The government has faced accusations of promoting hate and imposing restrictions on protesters, exemplified by a recent apology for mistakenly awarding a Nazi symbol to a Ukrainian war veteran.

The government has been accused of promoting hate and causing harm to those involved. 'The Joe Rogan Experience' also highlighted the potential for retaliation against those who disagree with the government's cause.

The government's actions are seen as a threat to the rights of people and the country.

Individuals associated with the trucker protests in Canada faced threats of having their bank accounts closed for expressing skepticism about the need for an experimental vaccine. Joe Rogan commented, "Not just the truckers, but people who donated to the truckers got their bank accounts closed."

He further added, "Well that is wild. You got locked out of all of your money because you donated to a cause where you didn't think that people should have to take an experimental vaccine in order to be able to work to drive a truck."

Expressing shock, Rogan remarked, "Really? Really, you think that's okay? Like, that's so not okay, the fact that those people aren't up in arms. The whole country didn't freak out and demand a change. Like, you can't have that's dictatorship stuff; that's what that is, it's Banana Republic stuff."
