LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel provided a summary of a concerning report from federal investigators regarding highly classified documents discovered at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort last year.
These documents contained sensitive information about foreign nuclear defenses, categorized as top secret, with access restricted to the president and a select few council members.
Last year, Kimmel injected humor into the situation when the classified documents were discovered, saying, "The only people who are allowed to see them are the president of the United States, and a few highly cleared members of his Council and anyone who goes into Trump's closet looking for a broom I guess."
Jimmy Kimmel expresses 'gratitude to Kentucky Fried Chicken' amid Donald Trump's classified info fiasco
Kimmel said, "Trump shared classified information about our nuclear submarine capabilities with some random guy at Mar-a-Lago."
He explained the situation, "Apparently, he blabbed a bunch of top secret information...uh... to an Australian billionaire, who then shared it with a bunch of people, including more than a dozen foreign officials; including several of his employees and a handful of journalists he told at least people"
He then continued, "I have to say honestly we owe a major debt of gratitude to Kentucky Fried Chicken be literally the only time Donald Trump's mouth is not actively destroying America is when he has a drumstick in it."
Trump can't keep a secret
According to ABC News, former President Donald Trump is facing allegations of discussing potentially sensitive information about US nuclear submarines, months after departing the White House, with an Australian billionaire who is a member of his Mar-a-Lago Club.
It is claimed that the Australian billionaire, Anthony Pratt, subsequently shared this information with a wide audience, including numerous foreign officials, his own employees, and select journalists.
These details have been reported to special counsel Jack Smith's team, which is investigating Trump's alleged retention of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
Additional information from sources revealed that another witness, a former employee at Mar-a-Lago, informed investigators that shortly after Anthony Pratt met with Trump, he overheard Pratt sharing some of the information that Trump had just disclosed with someone else.
Donald Trump trolled after Jimmy Kimmel's joke
As Kimmel always has it, his humor was not blindsided. Fans took to the comment section to pour in their humor as well. However, some were serious about the gravity of these alleged actions, with one saying, "If he shared nuclear secrets with an Australian [foreigner] just imagine what Putin, Xi, MBS, Erdogan and others got".
Another person had a humorous take on recent events, stating, "The Donald doesn't want the Speaker job, he's holding out for FUEHRER." A third person commented, "Trump was only attending g court to get out of a [deposition] he's been ordered to sit for."
One even considered the whole political scenario and wrote, "Between Trump, Lindell and Giuliani It's tremendously hard to not see this whole circus as a well cast sitcom..."
