'Jeopardy!' star Mayim Bialik grooves with Atsuko Okatsuka as fans slam her 'poor' hosting skills: 'Train her'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Jeopardy!'s current host Mayim Bialik has once again shocked fans with both, her dancing skills and a look that they have never seen before. In a reel featuring the popular stand-up comedian Atsuko Okatsuka, the former 'The Big Bang Theory' actress grooved to the viral Vietnamese song ‘See Tình’ by Hoàng Thuỳ Linh.

This look is a complete three-sixty-degree from 'Jeopardy!' hosts' current appearance, where she has recently been facing backlash from the fans. The viewers have pointed out her “poor” hosting skills where she made several slips in the past few episodes by awarding incorrect answers as correct.

Bialik and Okatsuka – an unexpected but lovely interaction

Okatsuka and Bialik did the dance challenge after the comedian joined the show host on her podcast ‘Bialik Breakdown’. The podcast invites celebrities to discuss issues related to mental health along with episodes from both their professional and personal lives. Okatsuka shared her experiences in the comedy world along with her struggles with navigating different cultures.

Their dance challenge video goes on to show the fun dynamic that has developed between them. The two women seemed to be a lot closer already as they laughed around while dancing together with Okatsuko closing off the video with a fun twerk. Bialik looked a lot different from how most people are used to seeing her with a prim and proper hairdo and formal clothing. The reel showed her casual and daily side, with a cute messy hairstyle and a sweatshirt-sweatpants combo.

'Stop torturing fans!'

In the past few episodes of 'Jeopardy!', Bialik has made many fans, viewers, and critics of the game show quite disappointed in her hosting skills. The actress gave away points to several answers that were obviously incorrect. This has been wrongly pronouncing the French pastries Macarons and considering the Internet and Intranet as synonymous which they absolutely are not.

Some fans came forward to point out the issues with these decisions. One fan questioned, “Wait wait wait... Did #Jeopardy really decide that macaroons and macarons are the same thing?! Those terms are not interchangeable!.” Another one commented saying, “ I can't do this anymore! Mayim had plenty of time & practice to fix flaws that drive us crazy; she has not! Tonight was clincher [sic] for me. The correct response was "InTRAnet", but the contestant said "InTERnet" and she didn't ask him to repeat. No more until Ken returns!” Many others have pointed out the basic issues they have with her hosting style. One of the tweets said, “Please explain - why does Bialik call "time" significantly before the chime confirms it? And quite often, at that.” Another one said, “I think Mayim’s pauses/hesitation makes the contestants feel insecure or like their response is wrong so they try to quickly add onto it. Someone really needs to talk w/her about it. It’s distracting for audience & contestants alike.” Her diction seems to be a problem for many as another one said, “I watched Jeopardy tonight because I really missed it. I was hoping the delay wouldn't continue to annoy the hell out of me since I know she was going do it.....I was wrong, the delay is still annoying as hell.”

One of the many concerned viewers commented saying, "She can't host. I think she's talented, and her voice sounds pretty, but she can't do this job. Stop torturing fans! Train her!"

Bialik did not seem to have any motive behind these strange mistakes but she has also not come forward to acknowledge them. As of now, Bialik has stepped away from hosting the show to support the writer’s strike of WGA. Although the writing work for this season had already been completed before the strike commenced, Bialik intends to show her support to the writers by taking this hiatus.
