'Jeopardy!' host Ken Jennings gives cheeky reply to fan as he promotes book on afterlife

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Jeopardy!’ host and ex-contestant, Ken Jennings, has found a new way to keep himself in the spotlight. The 49-year-old is not expected to resume his hosting duties until the end of the summer but is entirely focused on his new venture — promoting a book he wrote. Ken has authored a book titled, ‘100 Places To See After You Die’, and is now in full publicity mode to get the word out.

The ‘Jeopardy!’ host is in high spirits as he recently took to social media to announce his book tours to different cities which include Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Lake Forest Park, and Portland. All the promotion had kept him in the limelight but a recent saucy exchange on Twitter with a fan has only offered Ken to up the ante on his book.

Ken retweeted a post from his publisher Scribner Books to promote his new book ‘100 Places to See After You Die'. The book is considered to be a hilarious out-take of some of the "afterlife destinations" one should explore after death. Ken threw some light on the idea he was toying with which eventually came to fruition as a book. "I saw 1,00 Places to See Before You Die…I looked at the title & thought, 'What if it was 100 Places to Die Before You See?' The more I thought about it, it went from a dumb joke to that might actually be a pretty fun book.”

His retweet received a comment from a fan who said, “I mean seven layers of Hell is a lot to see in itself," indicating that one of the places a person will see after death is hell. But Ken didn’t allow the fan to get the better of him as he responded with a witty comment. “Nine! (Seven is Mexican dip)" The fan was then nowhere to be seen, not even in the comments section.

‘You should totally miss Jeopardy! for this’

Ken recently urged all his fans to miss the ‘Jeopardy!’ episode and attend his book launch event on June 14, 2023, in Los Angeles. While promoting his new book, Ken wrote on Twitter, "LOS ANGELES! My book event is next Wednesday at 7 pm and you should totally miss Jeopardy! for this.” However, he didn’t truly want to hurt the show’s ratings and added, “Okay, fine, you should DVR Jeopardy! for this.”

For now, Mayim Bialik has been hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ but many fans are unimpressed by her qualities as a host and demand that Ken returns to the job as he knows the best. She’s often considered slow and has built an infamous reputation for making long pauses. Given Ken’s book tour, it will be a while before we witness him back in the studio hosting again.
