Jamie Foxx caught helping his fan's mother in Chicago after hospitalization: 'He said he feels good'

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Jamie Foxx is getting better and has been seen helping a woman in Chicago where the 'Ray' star has been recuperating since being admitted to the hospital in April due to a "medical complication." A fan released a video on Instagram on Monday, July 10, revealing that the 55-year-old actor, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, found his mother's purse after she lost it earlier in the day.

"Mom lost her bag in Chicago today Jamie Foxx found it and brought it to her and he said he feels good y’all god is good 🙏🏾," the user wrote in the caption of the video. Foxx returns the purse to the woman in the video, who appears to be on a city bike tour, and then gets into a sizable black SUV. She yelled "Thank you, Jamie," as Foxx accelerated away.

The video was released just one day after Foxx made his first public appearance following his hospitalization. A gleeful Foxx was spotted floating down the Chicago River in a big boat in fresh pictures and video that TMZ obtained on Sunday. The Oscar winner waved to fans, according to the outlet, and appeared animated and cheerful. A nearby boat hailed Foxx with cheers when it spotted the star.

'God is good!'

The video has begun garnering likes and attention from Foxx's fans. A fan wrote, "So amazing gave me chills 😍" "God is good! Two blessings you guys witness today. Jamie and your mom getting her purse back," commented another. "Keep going up brother 🔥," noted another fan. One person stated, "Yesssss she was so happy I seen them on Michigan Avenue god is amazing."

News of the 55-year-old actor's hospitalization for an unspecified medical issue initially broke on April 12. A month later, Corinne, his 29-year-old daughter, revealed that her father had been released from the Atlanta hospital where he was receiving treatment and was "recuperating." Corinne claimed that the 'Django Unchained' star's health had improved to the point where he could play pickleball, one of his favorite sports. A source close to the actor told People that Foxx is "doing great" following a two-month health crisis and is reportedly "celebrating summer" and good deeds.
