Speed's 2022's firework incident went viral, with numerous viewers chastising the young streamer for lighting it inside his chamber. It doesn't appear to have worked, as the YouTuber nearly replicated the act again this year, with followers sharing clips on social media. In the recent clip, he has been seen lighting the Pikachu firecracker and shouting in excitement.

A user shared the clip with a caption saying, "No way Speed did it again." Fans recalled how he had to contact the fire brigade after he executed a similar trick in 2022, with an identical Pikachu firecracker and a slew of other fireworks perilously close to the sparks. A fan recalling the incident questioned if the YouTuber learnt anything from his past mistakes, "He didn’t learn did he?"

IShowSpeed may have intentionally replicated the Pikachu incident this year by firing the same pyrotechnics in a room. This time, however, he was accompanied by friends and a videographer.

In addition, the videographer, known on social media as Slipz, stated that the firework burned a hole in his shirt. He wrote, "Got a hole in my shirt." Another user mocked saying, "What did he think was gonna happen if he did it again." One user maked it as "strange behavior", writing, "This isn’t even funny it’s very strange behavior."

Pikachu firecracker incident

As previously stated, this is not the first time IShowSpeed has lit fireworks indoors. In 2022, in front of tens of thousands of viewers, the Ohio native lighted a Pikachu firework in his room, ignoring numerous of his audience's warnings. The streamer's initial pleasure immediately changed to terror as the sparks continued to fly, filling the room with smoke.

Many people were worried that the fire would spread to the pile of additional fireworks that the YouTuber had set on the bed. Fortunately, there was no evidence of long-term damage after the smoke cleared. The feed did, however, capture a number of firemen entering the room a few minutes later.
