LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A day after a civil lawsuit was filed against Lizzo by her former dancers who accused her of creating a hostile work environment and other multiple serious allegations, the pop singer took to social media to address the issue and the internet did not welcome her statements. On Tuesday, August 1, a legal complaint was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court against the 'Good as Hell' singer, her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc, and also her dance team captain Shirlene Quigley.

The complainants Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis, and Noelle Rodriguez, claimed that they were subjected to weight shaming while working with Lizzo whose original name is Melissa Jeffersonand were forced by her into touching nude performers at an Amsterdam club. Body shaming, false imprisonment, religious and racial harassment, and discrimination, are the other serious accusations mentioned in the lawsuit, according to People.

Lizzo fins allegations 'gut-wrenchingly difficult'

In the wake of the allegations against Lizzo and her production company, the 35-year-old took to Twitter to respond to the civil lawsuit filed by the former dancers saying that the accusations were too outrageous not to address. "These last few days have been gut-wrenchingly difficult and overwhelming disappointing. My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized," wrote Lizzo.

"Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed," the 'Rumors' singer stated and added, "These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional."

'You didn't even apologize'

Following Lizzo's statement on sexual and racial harassment allegations against her, internet users slammed the singer for calling her lengthy statement a "whole bunch of nothing." One Twitter user commented on her post saying, "Sorry lady but in today's world, whatever good work you have done absolutely will be overshadowed but how you treat others," while another user tweeted, "Can anyone who has read this point me to one single allegation that is denied or said to be untrue in this statement?"

"You didn’t even apologize," a user tweeted while another wrote, "It’s crazy cuz you never said "No I didn’t do that."

"Lizzo you said a whole bunch of nothing," quipped a user. " All those paragraphs just to not even apologize," a user wrote while another tweeted, "What a nothing response. Half of this feels written by chat GPT deflecting criticism by saying 'well I know how it feels to be body shamed so I’d never do that' doesn’t make the claims multiple people have made void," a user tweeted.
