NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Season 2 is only a few days away, and the promotions for the game have begun.
The contestant list for the upcoming season has been revealed, and former ‘Jeopardy!’ champ, James Holzhauer is not too impressed.
Ken Jennings will be back to host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Season 2, and has shared a teaser for the same, ahead of the game show’s release.
In response to the teaser of ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Season 2, Holzhauer asked Jennings, “Where are the celebrities?”
Who will be on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ season 2?
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the official account for ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ shared a teaser featuring Ken Jennings and some of the celebrities who will be competing for the prize.
The tweet read, “27 celebrities will face off for a shot at winning $1,000,000 for charity. #CelebrityJeopardy! premieres Wednesday, September 27 8/7c on ABC and Stream on Hulu.”
While the entire roster of celebrities hasn’t been revealed yet, some of the confirmed stars, as reported by Today, include Mark Duplass, Emily Hampshire, Christopher Meloni, Lisa Ann Walter, Mira Sorvino, Sherri Shepherd, Timothy Simons, Dule Hill and Katie Nolan.
The aforementioned list only includes one-third of the entire roster that will be present on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!' however, Holzhauer had something to say about it.
Internet corrects James Holzhauer after his sly remark
In response to the teaser shared by ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ on X, former ‘Jeopardy!’ champ James Holzhauer wrote, “Cool teaser but where are the celebrities.”
The internet has pointed out some of their favorite celebrities to Holzhauer or those they know.
One person wrote, “@MarkDuplass IS A NATIONAL TREASURE” and another said, “Katie Nolan, James!”
“Ummm Mira Sorvino is very well known and an Oscar winner. I also know Mark Duplass. Not as good a roster as last season of Celebrity Jeopardy! but consistent with previous years,” wrote one user, Another said, “Excuse me sir but @katienolan is a national treasure (if you’re from Boston).”
One person mocked Holzhauer, “Pop culture always was your weakest category, I suppose.” While others continued to point out some of their favorites, “@LisaAnnWalter slander! Emmy award-winning Abbot Elementary star? From the Parent Trap? Ringing a bell?”
