'He will somehow harm me': 'Family Feud' murder victim Becky Bliefnick lived final days in fear

QUINCY, ILLINOIS: Rebecca "Becky" Bliefnick, 41, was found slain in her own house on February 23. Her estranged husband, a former 'Family Feud' contestant and college football player, was later convicted on home invasion murder charges. A friend of the mother of three has now revealed horrifying details about the victim's final days, saying she spent them fearing for her life. "They seemed to be the perfect family," according to Christie Krause, who spoke to Fox News. "When we knew Tim and Becky, that was when they had gotten engaged and we're getting married. And it was a very happy time in their life. I would have never thought that Tim could do something like this."

A jury found Timothy, age 40, responsible for the shooting death of Becky, age 41, on February 23. Her family became worried when she didn't pick up her sons from school, and that's when her father discovered her body. 14 shots were fired at her, as per Daily Mail. Timothy was arrested on March 13, twelve days after his Illinois house in Quincy was searched. Although the couple was going through a divorce and was separated, a family acquaintance claimed that no one anticipated the marriage would end in murder.

Becky's final days

Krause, Becky's friend, claimed that she was aware that Becky had contacted her close friends and relatives in the days preceding her murder and expressed concerns that her husband could hurt her before their divorce was finalized. "She had reached out to too many people that she was close to, saying that if anything happened to her that Tim would be the one that they should look at first," Krause detailed. "That's really sad to hear, especially during the trial. It was very heartbreaking to know that she was in so much fear in the last few days of her life."

'He will somehow harm me'

Before she died, Becky wrote a disturbing letter to her sister Sarah Reilly informing her that Tim is the "No. 1 person of interest" if anything were to happen to her. "I am putting this in writing that I'm fearful he will somehow harm me, come after me, or will try to [do] something to me that takes me away from the kids or the kids away from me," she stated.

'Becky was an all-around great person'

Krause further said she had offered prayers for the family and the three young children their mother had left behind in the hope that her three young sons would remember her as an "all-around great person." The friend stated, "My thoughts and prayers go out to them. These three boys have lost both of their parents. It's heartbreaking to know what they have to go through for the rest of their life, that their father killed their mother." "All I can continue to do is pray for them and hopefully offer happy memories from the past of their wonderful mother, who was just brilliant and beautiful and caring and just an all-around great person," Krause added.

Family's statement after verdict

Becky's family released a statement that read, "We should not be living in a world where a crime like this is possible. We should not have to suffer a life without Becky who was robbed of her life in the most hateful, cowardly and cruel way." The statement added, "The judicial process cannot bring her back nor can it heal our wounds, but we are relieved that the verdict delivers justice, and we are thankful for all who made it a reality. As a family of faith, we are deeply thankful for our family, friends and the complete strangers who have rallied around us and prayed for us during these incredibly dark days."
