LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Quentin Tarantino has sparked a wave of admiration among netizens after paying a surprise solidarity visit to an Israeli army base amid the devastating conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The 60-year-old 'Kill Bill' director even posted pictures with the troops at the camp in southern Israel, according to images shared by Israel War Room pages.

The picture was posted to X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino visits an Israeli base in southern Israel to boost IDF morale."

In the picture, Tarantino is seen posing with troops in front of what appears to be a military aircraft. Photos also showed him alongside troops and eating hummus in Har Hanegev, according to the Times of Israel.

The war room pages have also shared a now-viral TikTok, showing a young barefoot Israeli walking up to the acclaimed director and asking to make a short video with him.

“Tarantino in Sde Boker: An exciting moment amidst all this s**t,” the TikTok caption read.

Tarantino seems to have a personal connection with Israel as he has lived in Tel Aviv with his Israeli wife, Daniella Pick, and their two children for the last two years, as per Daily Mail.

He said in a 2021 interview that Tel Aviv is like a smaller version of LA with 'magnificent restaurants, cool bars, cool clubs.'

Internet praises Quentin Tarantino for visiting Israeli troops

The news of Tarantino’s solidarity visit has garnered immense social media attention, with users praising him for supporting the Jewish state.

“Very cool of Quentin Tarantino to do this,” one user stated. “Guess there’s at least one person in Hollywood with some sense,” a second user wrote.

“Tarantino knows what's good,” the third user asserted.

However, there were also some users who slammed him. “From now on Quentin Tarentino gets none of my money,” one user fumed.

“Supporting genocide and occupation forces. What a gentleman. He looks like Putin,” a second user slammed.

“Rich people just be doing stuff huh,” another user said. “But he was my favorite filmmaker. I am very sorry that I can no longer enjoy watching his movies” one more wrote.

Hollywood celebs express support for Israel

Israel has been at war with the Palestinian militant organization Hamas since October 7 when it released a barrage of missiles on the Jewish state and unleashed dozens of ground attacks.

The ambush left hundreds of civilians and soldiers dead and roughly 200 to 250 taken as hostages by Hamas, per ABC News.

Amid the ongoing war, Tarantino is not the only celeb to vocally support Israel. Previously, Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, signed an open letter condemning the 'evil' actions of Hamas following the attack.

The letter was also signed by several other celebs, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Pine, Mayim Bialik, Liev Schreiber, Michael Douglas and Jerry Seinfeld.

"Hamas murdered and kidnapped innocent men, women, and children. They kidnapped and murdered infants and the elderly," said the open letter released by Creative Community For Peace.

"This is terrorism. This is evil. There is no justification or rationalization for Hamas' actions," the letter went on, adding "These are barbaric acts of terrorism that must be called out by everyone."
