Right-wing TV host at Trump rally denies he wants to kill liberals, globalists, and RINOs
A broadcaster at the rightwing network Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) interrupted the programming ahead of former President Donald Trump’s rally in Erie, Pennsylvania to reject the notion that he wanted to kill liberals, globalists, and insufficiently conservative or Trump-supporting Republicans, known as RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). Matthew Alvarez said on Saturday that “There is something that is trending on Twitter right now ... I was interviewing people ... they were talking about how great the country is, how great the president is, and I heard something else that was spoken ... what I’m hearing is somebody said, ‘Well let’s kill them all.’ That is not something that I agree with, obviously,” he said, according to RawStory. Footage from the pre-rally interviews shows a Trump supporter saying that he will “guarantee” that Mr Trump gets back into the White House. He’s then asked what his opinion is on the globalists and RINOs and he appears to respond “Kill them all” to which Mr Alvarez says “I agree with you on that”. After the incident, Mr Alvarez backtracked to his viewers: “So if there is something that happened, where somebody was speaking out there, I didn’t hear those words spoken. It’s very loud outside. All I know is I’m here for God, for this country, for truth, for President Trump, that kind of thing. Definitely not a proponent of anything like that happening.” A fellow host on RSBN added: “It is very natural for someone to maybe agree with them, even if you didn’t understand.” “They will take a clip of that and run with it. We all know that’s not what you meant,” he added. “I didn’t say it, I didn’t hear the guy say it,” Mr Alvarez responded. Bartender calls out customer asking for no ice thinking they'll get more alcohol
A bartender who seemingly rumbled one of her customers for trying to get more booze by asking for no ice in their drink – and called them out – has sparked fierce debate online. Jemima June bartends in Nashville, Tennessee, and posted a TikTok about the customer. So far, it’s got more than 1 million views. In the clip, the person is heard repeatedly asking for a tequila cranberry, with “no ice”. June responded: “Just cause you say no ice doesn't mean you're gonna get more alcohol.” “Double, that means you're gonna get more alcohol.” Some commenters said she was unnecessarily frosty, and even accused her of giving “side eye”. @jemimajune_ One person said: “OK but sometimes we just want more drink, not more alcohol, so we don't finish our mainly cup of ice in 5 seconds.” Another person said: “Lol when you literally just don't want your drink getting watery.” A third person added: “Lemme get no ice without the attitude.” But others were more supportive, pointing out that bartenders often get similar requests from people demanding more booze. One person said: “I'm a bartender in NY, where is the attitude in here exactly? She was nice.” Another person said: “He keeps repeating no ice to her and then when she hands him the cup showing him there is no ice he says are you sure. He was definitely trying to get more.” And one other added: “Us bartenders know exactly what no ice means. You knew instantly your face you're like okay no ice got it.” How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Sign up to our free indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. The Rock looking to follow Ryan Reynolds and make the 'new Wrexham'
Football fans have marveled at the success that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have had since they took over Wrexham and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson could be following in their footsteps. The former WWE champion turned Hollywood a-lister is reportedly in contact with a group looking to take over Southend United who currently play in the National League. Integral Sports Management is made up of local businessmen who are looking to purchase the club which has been up for sale since March following years of financial struggles. ISM is said to have made contact with The Rock's production company Seven Bucks Productions who might be interested in making a Welcome to Wrexham-style documentary about the club should the takeover go through. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Another actor potentially involved in the deal is Ray Winstone. The 66-year-old is a die-hard West Ham United fan but is a co-founder of ISM and will likely be involved with The Shrimpers should the purchase progress. Southend dropped out of the football league for the first time in their history in 2021 and have remained in the National League ever since. Financial troubles have rocked the club in recent years with a transfer embargo being in place since September due to money owed to HMRC. Full-time office staff haven't been paid for their work in March and April and have until July 12 to pay off the £250,000 debt that they owe. Like many football fans, Southend supporters will be more than aware of the success that celebrity owners can bring having played against Wrexham for the past two years. The Welsh club secured promotion back to the EFL after 18 years away earlier this year, spearheaded by the investment and interest that Reynolds and McElhenney have brought to the team.
