Kylian Mbappe set to return to PSG squad after ‘positive discussions’ – reports
Paris St Germain are ready to integrate Kylian Mbappe back into the first-team squad, according to reports. The France captain’s future in the capital city has seemed uncertain following links with a move to Real Madrid and reports earlier this week that he was frozen out of senior training. Mbappe was told to stay away after he refused to activate an option to extend his current contract to 2025, meaning the superstar would be free to negotiate a free transfer to foreign clubs in January. He was not involved as PSG began their Ligue 1 campaign in underwhelming fashion with a goalless draw against Lorient, with Neymar also not included in the matchday squad. But before the game Mbappe and the club are reported to have held positive talks that will see the 24-year-old return to Luis Enrique’s squad. A club statement on Sunday, reported by French newspaper L’Equipe, read: “After very constructive and positive discussions between Paris St Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player was reinstated in the first training team this morning.” Boss Enrique had said before the game that he was confident of a positive outcome. “It is something that has already happened in the past and there was a positive solution before I was here,” he said in his pre-match press conference. “I hope and wish that, just like in the past, the same thing will happen again and that the club and the player will reach an agreement.” Read More Charity boss speaks out over ‘traumatic’ encounter with royal aide Ukraine war’s heaviest fight rages in east - follow live

Taylor Swift fans most extreme strategies to get UK tour tickets
Taylor Swift recently announced international tour dates for her highly anticipated The Eras Tour - and the demand is through the roof for tickets. Fans looking to buy tickets will have already signed up during Ticketmaster's registration period (which is now closed) with the hopes of being the lucky ones to receive a code and link to the sale for a chance to see Swift live. Looking at the stats, many fans will certainly be left disappointed as more than 70 per cent of those who registered will not get tickets. Sign up toby our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Buzz Bingo calculated there are an estimated 750,076 tickets available across the 11 UK tour dates and 2.9 million people are predicted to attempt to buy tickets, meaning 2.1 million will miss out, based on Ticketmaster data from ticket sales in the US. Earlier this year, the US Ticketmaster sale for Taylor Swift led to the website crashing due to demand, leaving thousands of fans disappointed and empty-handed after being in online queues for hours, and resulted in a Senate hearing about the event. So UK Swifties are understandably anxious and are researching all of the different methods to secure their tickets. Here are some of the most extreme strategies they are adopting: Finding someone with Liverpool FC season tickets As soon as Swift announced she was playing two dates in Liverpool's Anfield Stadium, Swifties were quick to notice that those who are season ticket holders, seasonal hospitality members and LFC Official Members at the Premier League football club have exclusive access to pre-register for the online ticket sale taking place from Wednesday 21st June at 9 am. So Swifties who are not members have been asking online for those who are members to help them secure tickets - with some even joking that they are searching for Liverpool fans on dating apps for this cause. Booking hospitality packages Swifties looking to get ahead of the competition and secure tickets before the Ticketmaster sales begin have been able to get tickets by purchasing hospitality packages advertised on the venue's website and making a phone inquiry. (Although these tickets are on the pricier side). @kylalian_ cried like a baby when i got the tickets #erastour #murrayfield #edinburgh #taylorswift @morgan @Taylor Swift @georgia.blush.social Replying to @Katy (taylor’s version) ?? not mentioned is me crying to the guy on the phone when he said the tickets have been confirmed… Camping overnight at the box office for tickets Rather than leaving your fate in the hands of the online sale to decide whether you're going to The Eras Tour, some Swifties in Australia decided to camp out overnight at the box office to get their tickets in person. "Camping overnight at Ticketek office for Taylor Swift tickets because that's legitimately easier than getting them online," fan Bec (@becsammut) said. Footage shows fans wrapped up warm, and sitting on camp chairs as they wait for the office to open. @becsammut Still 3 hours until the box office opens, but the vibes are immaculate ? #taylorswift #swiftie #theerastour #ticketek #taylorswiftaustralia Judging by the comment section, many were unaware that this was something you could do. One person said: "I DIDN'T EVEN REALISE YOU COULD STILL DO THIS! WHAT!!" "I didnt realise you could still do this, it looks so much easier," another person wrote. Someone else added: "Omg I was talking to someone about how you used to be able to line up at Ticketek stores or Westfield desk where they sold tix. Love this!" @theageaustralia Woul you camp outside for 30 hours to get tickets to the Eras Tour? #taylorswift#ticketek#erastour#swifties #melbourne Clearly, this method has caught on as there are long lines outside in Melbourne as @theageaustralia filmed, reporting that fans camped out for 30 hours. Manifesting tickets Some have decided to manifest Taylor Swift's tour last-minute. This is where people visualise what they want to achieve with fans creating Swift-themed shrines to strengthen their manifestations. Getting last-minute tickets on the day While it is highly likely that tour dates will sell out, in some instances as shown in the US, there are a couple of tickets available at the box office or online on the day of the concert. (Though, tickets may be on the expensive side). @taylorteasterr best night of our lives ? #taylorswift #erastour #speaknowtaylorsversion #nashville #nashvilleerastour Some fans have waited outside the venue waiting for ticket prices to drop as Swift comes on stage, but this doesn't guarantee tickets. @stephaniewilliamson_ Confidence is key ??? #erastour Listen to the concert outside venue If all else fails, ticketless Swifties have been showing up to venues anyway to hear the concert in person even if they can't see Swift perform. Clips on TikTok have circulated showing tons of fans in the US singing along to the musician's hits, and experiencing a concert-like atmosphere regardless. @benjiethehorse Crowd outside Philly Eras Tour 5/13! GREASE THE POLES #taylorswift #erastour #erastourphilly @Taylor Swift @Taylor Swift: Eras Tour UK fans who registered for tour tickets will be informed via email on July 5 whether you have been chosen to participate in the sale or if you will be placed on the waitlist. Barcelona explore sensational Neymar return as PSG set price for Brazilian superstar
Barcelona are looking at a sensational loan with an option to buy for Neymar, as the Brazilian's fractious time at Paris Saint-Germain is coming to a close. The French club’s new manager Luis Enrique and football advisor Luis Campos have been working on a vision for the team that involves hard running and young players. And the Ligue 1 champions have told the 31-year-old he can leave six years after his world-record €222 million (£200m) transfer. Neymar's main preference is to return to Barcelona, and the club are investigating the possibility despite some internal debate. Although a primary issue is that they would likely need to offload a series of players to make Neymar’s return financially viable. This is also why an initial loan is being looked at, as PSG are looking to bring in around £60m (£51.8m) for Neymar. The Camp Nou executive feels that they can make it work due to his huge commercial profile. That is one reason he hasn't yet accepted a huge offer from the Saudi Pro League, since he wants to be in peak condition for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Neymar is said to be obsessed with becoming a star in America. As such, he wants to continue playing Champions League football until then. The negotiations may be smoothed over by the fact PSG are poised to sell Marco Verratti to Al Hilal for €50 million, with that deal going down to the final details. The Saudi Pro League may end up being Neymar's most viable destination, but he is intent on staying in the Champions League. The main issue is that Luis Enrique is now preparing a team without him. Erik ten Hag confident Man Utd can handle ‘Welcome to Hell’ hostility
Erik ten Hag says Manchester United must keep calm and in control of their emotions if they are to emerge from their ‘Welcome to Hell’ experience at Galatasaray with their Champions League hopes alive. It is 30 years since the Red Devils’ first trip to the Istanbul giants, who progressed on away goals from that highly-charged encounter punctuated by hostility and intimidation. United have visited Galatasaray twice in the Champions League since then and are now preparing for a huge clash for both sides amid an ear-splitting backdrop at Rams Park on Wednesday. The Turkish champions are well placed to qualify having won the reverse fixture 3-2 and Ten Hag knows his side will be unable to reach the knockout phase if they lose the Group A encounter. “We know we can (win away in Europe) and we are confident,” Ten Hag said. “The last games away from home in the league were also very hostile environments. We played very well. We were very calm and composed. “This team also last year in Barcelona (in the Europa League did well), so we know how to deal with it and I’m sure it will be tomorrow a confident team on the pitch.” Asked if he will stress to his players to keep their heads and remain disciplined, Ten Hag said: “Absolutely. You have to stay calm in your head and don’t get too emotional. You need the emotions but you have to control it. “That you don’t give them anything, that you don’t give the referee as well at that moment that they’re going to take, so you have to stay away from such moments. “We know how to deal with it. You have to play confident and you have to make it your game, so it’s not that important how the opponent is playing. “It’s important how we are playing, how we are dealing with possession, how we are dealing with out of possession, so normal stuff. We will make a good plan but then, at the end of day, the players have to decide, they have to manage the game.” United have failed to so much as score in their three visits to Galatasaray, who have embraced the ‘Welcome to Hell’ phase made famous in their 1993 meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side. There are few more hostile environments in European football and Ten Hag was asked by a Turkish journalist what his plans were “to get out of hell” on Wednesday. “We have to make it our game and it’s the history,” the Dutchman said. “Obviously Manchester United has a great history, but you can’t take any guarantee from it in the future, so we have to make our own future. It’s the past, so tomorrow, it’s about the future, so we have to make it our game. It’s on us.” The last games away from home in the league were also very hostile environments. We played very well. We were very calm and composed Erik ten Hag United head to Istanbul without a variety of first-team players, with Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen among those injured. Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo are also sidelined, while Jadon Sancho remains banished from the squad and Donny van de Beek was not registered for the Champions League. Marcus Rashford serves a one-match ban for his sending off in the 4-3 loss at Copenhagen earlier this month, but striker Rasmus Hojlund and winger Antony are available. Ten Hag confirmed “they are in the squad” after missing Sunday’s 3-0 win at Everton through injury – a match in which Kobbie Mainoo shone on his first Premier League start. The highly-rated 18-year-old put in an eye-catching display at Goodison Park and Ten Hag would have no hesitation throwing him in again. “No, we don’t have fear (of starting Mainoo again),” Ten Hag said. “If players are good enough, then they are old enough.” Read More Tom Daley back on British Swimming’s World Class Programme in Olympic boost ECB boss admits challenges remain for cricket after positive impact report Former Sheffield United and Everton defender Phil Jagielka announces retirement Bruno Fernandes excited for ‘amazing’ atmosphere at Galatasaray Man City unveil statue of club greats Mike Summerbee, Colin Bell and Francis Lee Football rumours: Juventus eyeing swoop for Thomas Partey
