Tottenham Hotspur are strongly considering Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou as one of a few main names after Arne Slot decided to stay at Feyenoord. The Dutch coach had become Spurs' first choice only for the Eredivisie leaders to persuade Slot to give the club at least one more season, since they have qualified for the Champions League. It is also understood that questions were raised about Tottenham’s current structure as they also seek a director of football, and Slot had issues with how he would work in that system. While the feeling in the game had been that the Slot negotiations were close to the finish line, some figures with knowledge of the situation insist Spurs were still conducting discussions about a top list of targets. One of those is Postecoglou, who is being strongly considered, along with Sporting's Ruben Amorim. Daniel Levy would greatly value Luis Enrique but that is seen as more difficult to pull off given the Spanish coach's list of demands when Chelsea interviewed him. Postecoglou has earned huge admirers in the game for his expansive and entertaining work at Celtic, and there is hope that any deal would be smoother to do than with Feyenoord due to good relationships between involved parties. The Australian is commonly seen as one of the most exciting managers in world football. Ryan Mason is currently in charge to see out the season, having taken over from Cristian Stellini who was dismissed following a thrashing at the hands of Newcastle. Stellini himself was only an interim in the role, following the sacking of Antonio Conte earlier this season. Spurs face relegation-threatened Leeds on the final day of the season and sit eighth in the Premier League table ahead of the weekend, a position which would see them miss out on any kind of European football next term. Donald Trump's 'fingerprints' have been mocked on social media following his arrest on Thursday and viral mugshot which birthed a thousand memes. The former US president turned himself in to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia where he is facing charges of election interference in the aftermath of the 2020 vote, which saw the southern state vote for Joe Biden over Trump. Trump, along with 18 others including his former lawyer Rudy Guiliani are facing numerous charges including conspiracy to replace public officials with fake ones and trying to influence officials to alter the results. The already famous mugshot, which Trump is using to raise campaign funds, isn't the only body part of Trump to be mocked following his arrest. Trump despite weighing 215 lbs and standing at a towering 6ft 3in, has always been mocked for his supposedly tiny hands. As a result memes claiming to show his fingerprints have gone viral although they are so minuscule it's hard to make out that they are anything more than just dots. There were also jokes made about the fingertips being orange due to Trump's seemingly unnatural skin tone. However, not all the memes were mocking Trump. Some of his supporters capitalised on this to show a handprint that was flipping a middle finger at the booking form. Jokes aside Trump's trial date has been set but we'll have to wait a while for it to roll around as it has been set for March 4th 2024. Riley Reid is one of the world’s most successful porn stars and lives in a $4.8 million mansion, yet she wouldn’t recommend her career to others. In an emotional YouTube video, the 31-year-old (real name Ashley Mathews), admitted that her job had destroyed her relationship with her family and caused a range of issues in her personal life. “A lot of times when people ask me if they should do porn, I tell them no, I tell them that it makes life really hard, it makes dating really hard, it makes your family life really hard, it makes intimacy hard,” she says in the 2020 clip which has recently resurfaced on Twitter. “If you're putting yourself out there and the world is now judging you, you have to be OK with being shamed every day of your life.” Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Mathews, went on to say that the abuse she suffered had even put her off starting a family of her own. “I don't even want to have children because I do porn, because I'm worried [about] the way that people will treat my child,” she explained. She then acknowledged that her mother had been supportive at the start of her career – “She kind of just let me do whatever” – but things soon turned sour. “When I started to set these boundaries, not giving her money or things like that - it made our relationship a bit more difficult and almost toxic and so it sucks. “I don't have a mum anymore, I don't talk to her, I miss having a mum. I feel like you can't rewind and you can't go back. I don't have that relationship with her anymore. I don't ever think I will and that bums me out. It bums me out a lot.” Mathews said her career had also driven a wedge between her “religious” father and her. “Recently I wanted to go visit him and he said that I can't go visit because his wife - my stepmum - does not want me there,” she said. “I'm not allowed to go visit my dad anymore because my stepmum doesn't like that I do porn.” But, she continued: “When I was like well can we go get coffee or breakfast, he was like 'I don't want to be seen in public with you' and that just f***ing hurt so bad and it sucks.” Wiping back tears, she concluded: “I’ve lost my family, I don't talk to my brothers or my sisters. I think that they all kind of tried to take advantage of me and stuff or they're just like my dad – don't want to be around me.” And yet, despite her reservations about having children, Mathews and her husband Pasha Petkuns became parents to a baby girl in November last year. The 31-year-old’ is loving motherhood, if the heart-warming photos she’s posted to Instagram are anything to go by. However, understandably, she’s not loving the backlash her defenceless child has received. “The amount of people who leave mean comments about my baby is crazy to me,” she said in a video posted earlier this month. “Grow up. The UK and Ireland’s bid to host Euro 2028 has been formally approved, UEFA has announced. Ten stadia across the five nations will host the matches in five years’ time, with analysts projecting a three billion euro (£2.6bn) boost to the host nation economies on the back of the tournament. The bid was unopposed after Turkey withdrew to focus on a joint bid for the 2032 finals alongside Italy, and it was given the official seal of approval by UEFA’s executive committee on Tuesday morning. Wembley is set to host the final – and potentially both semi-finals – with the other English venues included in April’s final bid submission being the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Etihad Stadium, Villa Park, St James’ Park and Everton’s new ground at Bramley-Moore Dock. Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Hampden Park in Glasgow, Dublin’s Aviva Stadium and a redeveloped Casement Park in Belfast will also host matches. Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer welcomed the news, saying: “I’m thrilled we’ve secured UEFA EURO 2028. It will be the biggest sporting event ever jointly hosted in the UK and Ireland. “We will put on a brilliant tournament with fans at its heart. We will warmly welcome fans from across Europe to our islands’ shores and give people memories that will last a lifetime. “On top of that, the tournament is expected to deliver up to £2.6 billion of socio-economic benefit across the host nations, creating jobs and opportunities.” All five nations are expected to go through qualification for the tournament, with UEFA understood to be reserving two host nation places for any of the teams which do not make it on merit. The UK-Ireland bid would have been the overwhelming favourite to host Euro 2028 even if Turkey had remained in the race. Senior UEFA sources have repeatedly stressed the importance of hosting another European Championship in a major market – following on from Euro 2024 in Germany – as essential to boosting UEFA’s finances in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. There will still be issues for the bid team to resolve over the next five years however – with agreement still to be reached on who will fund the redevelopment of Casement Park. Plans for a 34,000 stadium have been delayed by legal challenges and are further complicated by the lack of a functioning Executive at Stormont. Costs have also risen from an original estimate of £77.5million to more than £100m. The GAA is part-funding the project but has not reached an agreement with Stormont over where the remainder will come from. Tuesday’s decision means England will be involved in hosting a Euros for a third time. They hosted alone in Euro 96 and were one of 11 countries involved in staging the continent-wide Euro 2020. The UK and Ireland associations first announced they were focusing on a bid for Euro 2028 in February last year. It had been expected that they would bid for the centenary World Cup in 2030 but Football Association chief executive Mark Bullingham admitted at the time there were “many areas of uncertainty” with doing so, leading to the switch in focus.
