UFC 293 card in full as Adesanya defends title against Strickland this weekend
The middleweight title is on the line in the main event of UFC 293 this weekend, as Israel Adesanya defends the belt against Sean Strickland. Adesanya became a two-time champion in April, knocking out Alex Pereira to take back the gold that he lost to his old rival in November. The Nigerian-New Zealander was eyeing a fight with Dricus Du Plessis as the first title defence of his second reign, but Du Plessis is recovering from an injury, opening the door for the controversial Strickland. Ranked fifth, Strickland (27-5) enters Australia on a two-fight win streak, with many fans interested to see and hear the American’s verbal exchanges with Adesanya (24-2) this week. Ten Hag urges Man Utd to match ‘fuel’ of Everton’s anger after 10-point penalty
Erik ten Hag has urged Manchester United to match Everton’s energy ahead of Sunday’s (26 November) game, as he says players and fans will be “mad” about the 10-point penalty imposed on the club. United travel to Goodison Park this weekend to face a team fuelled by a sense of injustice after an independent commission imposed the sanction on the club for a breach of Premier League profitability and sustainability rules. “If they are mad and that’s their fuel, we have to match those standards. When we match the standards we have a very good chance to win the game,” Ten Hag said.

Gilgo Beach murders - live: Rex Heuermann sobs in court hearing over Long Island serial killing
Manhattan architect Rex Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to six counts of murder in connection with the infamous Gilgo Beach serial killings. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office released charging documents on Friday confirming Mr Heuermann, of Massapequa, as the suspected serial killer who targeted sex workers and dumped their bodies along remote Long Island beaches. He appeared in court in handcuffs and wearing a polo shirt and khaki pants. Mr Heuermann was held without bail as prosecutors had previously sought, citing his recent searches for “sadistic materials, child pornography, images of the victims and their relatives.” The 59-year-old pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder in the first degree and three in the second degree over the deaths of Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy and Amber Costello. The women are among the “Gilgo Four” whose bodies were found along a stretch of Ocean Parkway in Long Island in 2010. Court documents state that Mr Heuermann is also the “prime suspect” in the murder of the fourth woman in that group, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, though he is not facing charges related to her death. The documents outline a number of extremely disturbing searches in Mr Heuermann’s internet history, as well as burner phones he is accused of using to “taunt” his victims. The Gilgo Beach serial killer had previously been linked to as many as 11 victims discovered more than a decade ago in Suffolk County.
