Taylor Swift fans unearth Travis Kelce's old tweets
Taylor Swift fans are always sleuthing for the next Easter egg so it was only a matter of time for Swifties to delve into Travis Kelce's old tweets. The pop star and NFL player are headline news as the pair have been dating for the past three months, with Swift attending Kansas City Chiefs games, Kelce going to Swift's recent shows in Argentina where she gave a shoutout to "the guy on the Chiefs," during her performance of Karma and their very public post-show kiss. So Swifties have taken a deep dive into Kelce's old tweets which are over a decade old, and like with most celebs whose old posts resurfaced there are some entertaining comments from their younger self. But also other negative tweets have been discovered which fans have slammed as ableist, misogynistic, and fat-shaming. Here's a glimpse at Kelce's past thoughts when he was feelin' 22 (and 21). He was at one with nature and animals, despite misspelling squirrels. What time is it? We can all relate... but what is Kelce tweeting from? Treating Twitter as a diary/calendar back in the day, and he misspelled the restaurant name Chipotle as “Chipolte.” Expressing his love for Olive Garden is pretty relatable and the restaurant chain even recently replied: "It's a love story, baby just say 'when.'" In a since-deleted tweet, Kelce wrote: "happy easter to all!!! #shoutout to Jesus for takin one for the team.... haha." However, fans have also spotted and highlighted some problematic tweets from Kelce. Most of these tweets appear to have since been deleted, while the gossip subreddit r/FauxMoi has shared an example of one. One tweet read: "Haha just caught myself judging every person that walked past me whether they were ugly, fat, funny looking, sexy haha I'm trippin." “As a man, You have something wrong with you if your going for girls that weigh more then you!!” another tweet from Kelce read, as per Daily Beast. A third used an ableist slur in his reply: "they slow as hell cuz there parents have been talkin to them like they were re**rded since they were babies.” People have been sharing their thoughts on the matter, and it has provoked mixed opinions. One person said: "He was 21-22 then. Hopefully, he's grown up." "I mean… how do such famous people not even think to have their teams go through and scrub their Twitter," another person wrote. Someone else added: "People in these comments acting like misogyny, fatphobia, and ableism aren’t that big of a deal are weird as hell to me." "Why is everyone clamoring to assume he’s changed?" a fourth person asked. Spain players emphasise ‘firm will’ to refuse national team call-ups
Spain players emphasise ‘firm will’ to refuse national team call-ups
Women’s world champions Spain have been plunged into further chaos after players refused call-ups to their latest squad. Fifteen World Cup winners were included in the squad for the Nations League games against Sweden and Switzerland, despite saying they would boycott international duty. A group of 81 players, including all 23 members of the World Cup squad, indicated three weeks ago that they would not play for Spain again while Luis Rubiales remained Spanish football federation (RFEF) president as a result of his behaviour at the final. Rubiales caused a huge controversy after kissing midfielder Jenni Hermoso – who has been left out of the latest squad – on the lips during the medal ceremony following the team’s 1-0 victory over England. Hermoso insists she did not consent to the kiss. Amid increasing pressure, Rubiales finally resigned from his post last week, but 39 players, including 21 World Cup winners, released a statement on Friday saying that was not enough to trigger their return to national-team duty. The players said they were not yet “in a safe place” to return and that the problems at the RFEF ran far deeper than Rubiales. However, despite their pledge to boycott, many were still named in Monday’s squad by new head coach Montse Tome, who said Hermoso had been left out for her own protection. In response, the players released a statement on Monday night which read: “What was expressed in our statement of September 22, 2023, makes clear and without any option for another interpretation our firm will not to be summoned for justified reasons. These statements are still fully valid. “During the days following that statement, we want to make it known to the public that nothing different has been transmitted to any member of the RFEF, so we expressly ask that the information transmitted publicly be rigorous. “As elite professional players and after everything that has happened today, we will study the possible legal consequences to which the RFEF exposes us by putting us on a list from which we had asked not to be called for reasons already explained publicly and in more detail to the RFEF, and with this make the best decision for our future and for our health. “It does seem relevant to us to point out, in this sense, that the call has not been made in a timely manner, in accordance with article 3.2 of annex one of FIFA’s regulations on the status and transfer of players, so we understand that the RFEF is not in a position to require us to go.” New head coach Tome said Spain were still “counting on” Hermoso, despite her omission from their first squad since lifting the World Cup. “We stand with Jenni,” she told a press conference. “We believe that the best way to protect her is like this, but we are counting on Jenni. “It’s the start of a new phase, the clock is ticking. There is nothing behind us and we really want to connect with these players.” Rubiales has been banned from going within 200 metres of Hermoso as the national court in Madrid considered a complaint of sexual assault, something the 46-year-old denies. Tome had been due to name her squad on Friday, but the announcement had to be delayed. Barcelona’s Mapi Leon and Patri Guijarro, who were not included in Spain’s World Cup party after signing a letter protesting against former manager Jorge Vilda, who was sacked during the fallout of Rubiales’ actions, were included in Monday’s squad. Candace Owens says that Lena the Plug is in 'slave relationship' with Adam 22
Candace Owens says that Lena the Plug is in 'slave relationship' with Adam 22
Candace Owens has joined the throng of critics of Adam22’s unorthodox marriage to Lena the Plug, branding their relationship one of “master and slave”. The right-wing commentator sat down for a three-hour discussion with Andrew Tate when they turned their attention to the now-notorious couple. For those who haven’t been following the saga, podcasters Adam22 (real name Adam Grandmaison) and Lena (real name Lena Nersesian) were thrust to viral stardom, after she filmed a sex scene with porn star Jason Luv. The X-rated encounter spawned a whole number of follow-up interviews, fall-outs, and conversations, including one with the king of toxic masculinity himself: Tate. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The self-styled “Top G” was introduced to the couple during a live episode of YouTuber Adin Ross’s eponymous show earlier this month. During their discussion, Ross asked the former kickboxer for his thoughts on the Lena-Luv liaison and Adam’s part in the whole thing. “All I can say is that I wouldn't personally do that, that's not something I would allow my woman to do,” he replied. After a lengthy debate about it all, Adam “extended an invite” to Tate, saying that if he were “ever interested in doing his first ever double-penetration scene”, he and Lena might be up for it. However, he then checked this with his wife and asked: “Would he be a suitable candidate?”, to which Lena replied: “No.” Adin Ross Introduces Adam22 & Lena The Plug To ANDREW TATE www.youtube.com Owens seized on the bizarre live-streamed meeting during her interview with Tate, condemning Adam’s treatment of his other half as “horrific”. “Don't allow them to delude you to believing that this is femininity,” the presenter fumed. “It's not femininity, Lena, to have your husband offer your body to another man on camera. That's the poisoning. “They teach women that this is sexual freedom, that this is sexual liberation,” she continued. “I looked at that and I saw a slave relationship – I saw a master offering his slave to another person because he was just so, ‘I just love Andrew Tate, would you like to sleep with my wife? I would be OK with that’. “That is horrific. That is not femininity. That is not masculinity.” Nodding, Tate chimed in: “I absolutely agree with you on that point. You're totally right there, and I think that's probably one of the most misogynistic things that have happened on the internet in recent times.” He went on to say that he found Adam’s behaviour “pretty disgusting”, pointing out: “He didn't ask her, he offered her.” Bigging up his own response to the situation, he said: “I felt sorry for her so I was very measured in my conversation with them. “I could tell she was nervous, she was swinging on the chair back and forth. She didn't want to be there, she felt extremely nervous and I think that only a coward would berate a very nervous, very scared woman.” He then laughed: “I think she expected me to go at her hard, maybe I'm getting soft in my old age." However, let there be no misunderstanding here: Tate is no champion of women’s rights and values. During their ‘Adin Live’ meeting, the influencer – who is currently under house arrest after being charged with human trafficking and rape – explained why he “wouldn’t let his woman” sleep with another man. “The reason I wouldn't ever do it is because I believe that a man and a woman have a connection between them, and I think that connection is solidified by sexual exclusivity from the female’s part,” he said. That’s right, “from the female’s part”. Still, Adam doesn’t seem phased by Tate’s criticism nor by Owens’s fierce criticism. Indeed, he even shared her slavery allusion on X (formerly Twitter) via his ‘No Jumper’ podcast account. All we can say is, none of this inspires confidence in the future of respect and equality.
