MIAMI, FLORIDA: Authorities in Florida are looking into the whereabouts of Florida man Kevin McGrath after he went missing from a cruise ship when it arrived in Miami on Monday, September 4.

McGrath, 26, was traveling on a Carnival Cruise over the long Labor Day weekend from PortMiami to Bimini, Bahamas, per PEOPLE.

When was Florida man Kevin McGrath last seen?

According to a statement released by the cruise company on Tuesday, September 5, McGrath was last seen in his cabin at 7 am on Monday as the Carnival Conquest arrived at Port of Miami.

The Florida man "was not located on board despite an extensive search," according to his relatives, who reported him missing, per NBC News.

McGrath was last seen wearing a black shirt, shorts, and gray sneakers when Miami-Dade police issued a missing person's notice for him on Tuesday morning.

Police said that he "may be in need of services" and asked that anyone with information get in touch with them.

McGrath was not discovered on board, so the Coast Guard was alerted, and Miami cops showed up to conduct an investigation, according to the cruise company.

"The guest was not detected by surveillance systems, including U.S. Customs and Border Patrol during the debarkation process," the company stated, as per NBC News.

Additionally, the Coast Guard hunted for McGrath using a chopper.

McGrath was described by authorities as having brown hair, brown eyes, and standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 170lbs, as per the New York Post.

Who last saw Florida man Kevin McGrath?

Miami-Dade Police Department detective Angel Rodriguez reportedly said, "McGrath was last seen by his brother at approx 2 am at his cabin."

The missing traveler "was supposed to meet the family for breakfast prior to disembarking from the ship, but he never arrived," according to members of the group.

The ship's crew and security seacrhed for him after his loved ones were unable to locate him, but their efforts were futile.
