'Feels like a college movie': Movie on Elvis and Priscilla Presley leaves Elvis Estate officials fuming

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: In a shocking turn of events, an upcoming movie based on Elvis Presley and his ex-wife, Priscilla, has sent shockwaves through the Elvis Estate, leaving some officials fuming over what they consider a grave misrepresentation.

Written and directed by Sofia Coppola, 'Priscilla' was reportedly created without the estate's knowledge or consent, leaving them infuriated and accusing it of being yet another attempt at a money grab, according to multiple sources. The movie draws inspiration from Priscilla's widely acclaimed 1985 memoir, 'Elvis and Me', that delves deep into their early romance. The movie stars Jacob Elordi as Elvis and Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla.

'It feels like a college movie'

An estate official who watched the film, called Coppola's writing and directing skills "horrible." They said, "It feels like a college movie. The set designs are just horrific, it's not what Graceland looks like."

Interestingly, Priscilla herself seems to have a rather different perspective on the matter. "I am very excited to see the interpretation of my book by the masterful Sofia Coppola. She has such an extraordinary perspective and I have always been such an admirer of her work. I'm certain this movie will take everyone on an emotional journey," reported TMZ. Nevertheless, it appears that this emotional journey might not be a pleasant one for the Elvis Estate officials.

Priscilla Presley's feud with Riley Keough

Money has been a contentious issue for the Presley family lately. As previously reported, Priscilla recently resolved a legal dispute over control of Lisa Marie's trust with her granddaughter, Riley Keough. It resulted in millions of dollars changing hands and Priscilla's longstanding wish to be laid to rest near her beloved ex-husband at the revered Graceland estate finally being granted.

Expressing her deep sentiments, Priscilla shared her family's desire for her final resting place to be alongside her daughter and the love of her life. She said, "Although I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, it is my family's and my wish for me to be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes. We appreciate the love from all of the fans."
