LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Fatal Seduction’ on Netflix had made sure that the trailers had set up a strong audience base for the series, and Episode 1 has managed to live up to the hype. The first episode of ‘Fatal Seduction’ is everything you would expect it to be and more. There’s sexuality, sensuality, friendship, lies and deceit, all packed in just the first episode. So, one can only anticipate how ‘Fatal Seduction’ will progress.
‘Fatal Seduction’ Episode 1 establishes Nandi Mahlati’s relationship with her husband, Leonard, and the visible cracks in their marriage. The episode is progressive in a way that it doesn’t shy away from Nandi talking about her miscarriage and the way she grieves. Leonard on the other hand, is more conservative in this matter, offering a brilliant contrast. However, ‘Fatal Seduction’ Episode 1 rests on the power of doubt as a relationship snaps because of the cheating and lies.
Is Leonard cheating on Nandi?
Nandi has her doubts from the very first episode, which sets the tone for the marriage that is on the verge of ending — all it needs is a little push. Looks like Leonard might be giving it the push as he was seen texting a young woman named Ameera, and while it looked suspicious throughout the episode, he isn’t actually seen cheating on Nandi, which will leave the viewers guessing if Nandi's suspicions are true. Nevertheless, Nandi has convinced herself that after the miscarriage, Leonard has started seeing someone else, and lost interest in her. In ‘Fatal Seduction’ Episode 1, we even see Leonard going into a house with Ameera, before which they both complement each other, but again, there is no confirmation of an extramarital affair. Did Nandi cheat on Leonard?
The premise of ‘Fatal Seduction’ rests on Nandi’s extramarital affair, but for those of you wondering if it happens in the very first episode, then it most certainly does. Nandi needs a well-deserved break, and she does so with her best friend, Brenda. At the getaway, the two girls meet a young and attractive man Jacob, and Brenda is all for Nandi cheating on her husband. As ‘Fatal Seduction’ Episode 1 progresses, Nandi runs into Jacob at a party, and it doesn’t take long for the seduction game to begin. While the sex scenes are a little on the nose, they most certainly get the job done. They portray that Nandi received the pleasure that Leonard couldn’t give her any longer. So one side, Nandi has cheated on Leonard, however, Leonard’s affair is still a question mark. The episode ends with the unfortunate death of Brenda, and now this is when the story really begins.
