NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The ‘Today’ meteorologist Al Roker recently gave a glimpse into one of his early morning walks with a brief clip of him and his wife, Deborah Roberts.
But what surprised many was that Roker and Roberts were not next to each other while on their walk.
The ‘Today’ meteorologist was spotted walking towards his wife, who was walking in from the opposite side. This took many fans by surprise, and they questioned Roker whether he and his wife did not walk together.

For his latest early morning stroll in the cold weather, Al Roker covered himself in a green hoodie and blue knit hat. He spoke to fans as he strolled down an empty street surrounded by trees.
He said, "It's a beautiful Sunday morning, a little on the brisk side and oh my gosh, as I walk along my road, who do I see coming in the opposite direction?" The meteorologist then panned his camera to show — to the surprise of his followers, his wife walking straight toward him.
Roberts was doing the same thing as her husband and recording herself while on her own morning stroll.
"And she's on camera too! Look at that, hey!!!" he and Roberts yelled in unison.
Roker continued, "I hope you're walking, either you're doing it by yourself or with your group, your family, your friends. Just get it done. Have a great time. Get ready to back to work. Cyber Monday. You know what? Just take it easy."
The meteorologist concluded, "Stuff is gonna be there. Don't worry about it. Alright. In any event, hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and we will hopefully see you tomorrow on Today!"
Roker captioned his post, "You never know who you’ll run into while getting your steps. Hey, @starttoday_ family. Who did you come across on your #walkrun today?"
Fans question Al Roker’s decision to not walk with wife Deborah Roberts
Many fans who saw the clip were, at first, confused as to why Al Roker wasn’t walking beside his wife.
One wrote, "Why don't you guys walk together?" while another chimed in, "Silly question- why don't you walk together? Lol"
"Huh? Leavin' her back Al..The weatherman leaves no one behind. Bahahahahahaha," quipped a person, with someone else joking, "I think you should make a quick U-turn and ask that lady out!"
However, Roker finally gave in to all those questions and answered, "For those asking, we start together, but Deborah runs and I walk. You do the math."
