Fans agree with Laura Ingraham as Fox News host says 'hard pass' to continued use of mask against Covid

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Although Covid-19 has receded significantly from our daily lives, its enduring impact remains undeniable.

One prominent voice in this ongoing conversation is Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham, who takes a staunch stance against the continued use of Covid masks, characterizing it as a "hard pass."

On her show, 'The Ingraham Angle', Ingraham has recently been providing extensive coverage of the legal developments surrounding Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

However, she hasn't neglected the persistent Covid crisis, consistently presenting the perspectives of various experts.

Despite the prevailing advice from numerous experts to continue using N95 masks as a precautionary measure, Ingraham maintains a divergent viewpoint and her stance has garnered unwavering support from her fan base.

Laura Ingraham denounces the use of ‘covid masks’

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham tweeted, “Hard pass…”

The tweet was about how many experts are mandating the use of masks to protect against the virus.

With this tweet, Ingraham also shared an article from CNN titled, “It may be time to break out the masks against Covid, some experts say.”

The article was part of CNN ‘Health’ segment which said, “If you’re at high risk of serious illness or death from Covid-19, it’s time to dust off those N95 masks and place them snugly over your nose and mouth to protect yourself from a recent uptick of the virus, according to a growing number of experts.”

“That advice should go all the way up to 80-year-old President Joe Biden," said Dr Jonathan Reiner, a cardiologist.

“Octogenarians comprise the highest-risk group for complications following Covid infection. At least until the numbers start to drop again, it would be appropriate for President Biden to take some precautions and wear a mask in crowds.” Reiner said.

CNN took input from a professor at the George Washington University School of Medicines & Health Sciences alongside the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC urges people to “wear a mask with the best fit, protection, and comfort for you”.

According to the article, “The CDC recommends universal masking in jurisdictions that have 20 or more people with Covid per 100,000 in local hospitals and masking for high-risk individuals when 10 to 19.9 people per 100,000 are hospitalized from the virus.”

However, despite many experts and institutions' rising concern, it was noted that Americans are less worried about the crisis.

As per Axios/Ipsos American Health Index poll, “Covid-19 was at the bottom of their list of key public health threats.”

And among those Americans is also Fox News anchor, Laura Ingraham and many other viewers who are careless about protecting themselves and claim ‘NO’ to wearing masks.

Internet supports Laura Ingraham’s tweet on covid masks

After Fox News reporter Laura Ingraham tweeted about the mandated use of covid masks as per many experts, she was strongly supported by her fans for the same.

One person wrote, “Yup, this is ridiculous.”

Dr Robert Wachter, professor of the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco said, "The virus is always lurking, waiting for openings, so I think Covid is just going to be a bit of a roller coaster, probably forever."

“I liken it to the Golden Gate Bridge: You’ve finished painting it, and the minute you’re done, you’ve got to start all over again," Wachter added.

Despite experts’ guide, fans were fuming over this as one wrote, “No on masks! They have been proven ineffective.” Another simply quoted, “Experts????????”

Like other fans, one reflected on science stating, “I follow the science, masks don’t work," and another jokingly connected covid with elections adding, “Kind of odd this virus is so smart it only returns during election years!”

One fan fumed as they wrote, “No one cares if you get sick or not. Do you.”
