LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christopher Hope is fighting back allegations that claim he was responsible for faking his daughter Lil Tay’s death.
Lil Tay, who is a teen rapper and internet sensation was reported to be dead, as per her Instagram account on August 9.
What did Christopher Hope say on the allegations?
In an interview with TMZ, Hope said, “The person who is responsible for that Instagram post as well as anyone repeating the completely false and libelous accusation within it are virtually certain to become defendants in a defamation lawsuit.”
The Canada-based attorney added, “Everything stated is 100% false, and I trust that this should be obvious to anyone who knows me or the long history of absurd and untrue statements made by the various people who have controlled the Instagram account.”
Tay’s parents have been involved in an ugly custody battle, and as per his mother, Angela Tian, she recently won and gained most of the control over her daughter.

Not long ago, the Vancouver-based real estate agent was let go of her job after it was found she helped her young daughters prepare ‘profanity filled’ skits online.
“As of last week, Angela is no longer attached with our firm,” Jim Lew, director of business development for Pacific Place Group, told the Verge in an email in 2018.
“Our firm does not condone this type of behavior and has no place for this in our busines," Lew added.
In the same year, the court-ordered Tay to live with her father, “When my daughter’s social media began to go viral this year, I disagreed with most of the social media activity. I took legal steps to stop things which I felt were dangerous to her physical and mental health and to her future,” Christopher told Hollywood Life in October 2018.
“I do not think a 10-year-old girl should be put in those situations and made to drop out of school so that she can make money for other people," he continued.
Interestingly, a day later after the statement of her death was posted on her Instagram page, Tay confirmed to TMZ that she's alive along with her brother.
“My Instagram account was compromised by a third party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong,” she told the outlet.
