Elon Musk pokes fun at Megan Fox amid parenting dispute, offers 'VP of Witchcraft & Propaganda' position

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tech billionaire Elon Musk has found (or rather inserted) himself in the midst of a heated controversy involving actress Megan Fox. Musk, known for his outspoken nature and social media antics, weighed in on the situation with a provocative tweet that drew the attention of many.

Musk took to Twitter on Sunday, June 11, stating, "Looking to hire a VP of Witchcraft & Propaganda," seemingly in response to Fox referring to herself as a "witch" during a social media feud with conservative commentator Robby Starbuck. Starbuck had criticized the actress for her parenting choices regarding her three sons.

Why did Elon Musk tweet about Megan Fox?

Musk's tweet drew a flurry of responses, with numerous mentions of Fox in relation to her previous comments. When one Twitter user suggested that Fox was "bad at propaganda," Musk simply replied, "Nobody is perfect." This came a day after Fox fiercely defended herself against a conservative activist she described as a "clout chaser," accusing him of falsely claiming that she had coerced her sons into wearing girls' clothing.

Starbuck, a Republican who ran for Congress in 2022, alleged that he had witnessed two of Fox's children being compelled by their mother to wear girls' clothes while their nanny attempted to console them. Starbuck claimed to have resided in the same gated community as Fox and her family, adding that their children often played together at the local park.

Responding to Starbuck's allegations, Fox vented her frustrations on Instagram, condemning his use of "children as leverage or social currency." She lambasted him for exploiting her child's gender identity for political gain, firmly declaring, "You f***ed with the wrong witch." In her scathing post, Fox emphasized the importance of never using children for personal gain, particularly under false pretenses.

Megan Fox receives support from ex-husband

Fox's enraged Instagram broadside comes after her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green, gave an interview vociferously denying Starbuck's version of events. "It's a totally bogus story. There are only a few people in their world that can actually verify whether or not a story like this is true and I can tell you with absolute certainty it is not," Green stated. He continued, "This person trying to claim this is true is a perfect example of someone with selfish motives that does not care about negatively affecting a parent-child relationship."

In his original tweet, Starbuck posted a picture of Megan with her children and wrote, "These are Megan Fox’s sons. We used to live in the same gated community and our kids played at the park." He continued, "I saw 2 of them have a full-on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls' clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them."

Green and Fox went public with the breakdown of their marriage in May 2020, months after they initially split. In addition to their three sons, Fox and Green have children from previous relationships. Fox has been an advocate for her son Noah's individuality and has encouraged him to be confident despite societal pressures and taunts from other children.

In 2019, Fox declared that her eldest "doesn't care" about being made fun of for wearing dresses to school. "He designs, he draws outfits. He's very talented, but he's still six," she said during an interview on The Talk. "He's really into fashion. He's the one, like sometimes, he'll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses, sometimes. And I send him to a really liberal, like hippy school," she continued, adding, "But even there, here in California, he still has little boys going like, 'Boys don't wear dresses,' or 'Boys don't wear pink.'"

Fox said she had been teaching her son to follow his heart despite taunts from other kids. "We're going through that now, where I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says." 'The Jennifer's Body' star explained that Noah had briefly stopped wearing dresses, but resumed shortly after. "He came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?' And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in,' but he's like, 'I don't care, I love dresses too much,'" she said at the time.
