Dana White explains why Dillon Danis may never compete in UFC: 'Every time he's around, s**t's going down'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dana White has effectively put an end to Dillon Danis' prospects of competing in the UFC after he witnessed the latter's fight with Logan Paul in October 2023. This came despite the fact that White has promoted several athletes who have been engaged in controversies outside of the octagon.

The UFC president and CEO seemed unimpressed with the mixed martial arts fighter, who is a close friend of Conor McGregor, who is considered to be White's favorite UFC fighter. This was because of his actions at the October 14 brawl, as he dubbed fights where things weren't under control a "clown show."

Dana White's take on Dillon Danis

During his brief guest appearance on the 'Full Send' podcast, White discussed Dillon Danis. As Kyle Forgeard asked him if he would "entertain" the possibility of Danis competing in UFC, he said, "I have no beef with the kid at all, I've probably said two words to him in my whole life. But every time he's around, s**t's going down."

"We can't have that stuff going on here. A lot of people will see when guys get into it on stage or something starts to happen, they're like oh, they must love this or whatever. No. No, we don't love it. We don't need that s**t to sell fights... It's our job to keep that s**t under control," he added.

He then concluded, "That's why when you see these other events with these guys and everything breaks out like that, it's total unprofessional clown show."

When Logan Paul faced Dillon Danis

The vicious personal comments that preceded the widely publicized celebrity boxing battle between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis will always be remembered.

However, despite the animosity between the two combatants, Danis's lackluster boxing performance was overshadowed by Paul's DQ triumph, which came only seconds before a unanimous decision victory.

After failing to pull Paul down from beneath on his second try at the last bell, which forced both sides to enter the ring, Danis lost a point in the sixth and final round.

Danis swung at a security guard during the confrontation, capping off a bad evening for the jiu-jitsu master.
