MIAMI, FLORIDA: DaBaby's ex, DaniLeigh, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following an alleged hit-and-run incident in Miami Beach, Florida during the early hours of Tuesday morning, May 30. The incident occurred around 2 am when the musician, whose real name is Danielle Curiel, purportedly hit someone riding a moped while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
According to witnesses cited in the report, DaniLeigh was allegedly driving at a high speed in a gray Mercedes-Benz with a passenger when the collision occured. She did not stop after the impact, and the moped was dragged along for approximately a block, according to TMZ. The witnesses stated that they attempted to get DaniLeigh's attention and inform her about the moped caught on her car, but she continued driving.
Victim suffered spinal fracture
According to the report, DaniLeigh was cited for leaving the scene of a crash without providing help, driving under the influence, and causing property damage. The victim involved in the incident, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered two injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening - a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture.
According to officials, there were indications of alcohol present in DaniLeigh's vehicle, and they reported that her "motor skills were sluggish." Additionally, her passenger was described as being "highly intoxicated." Both DaniLeigh and her passenger were detained using hand restraints. However, DaniLeigh claimed to the police that she did not collide with the motorist and denied consuming any alcoholic beverages. The report states that DaniLeigh agreed to undergo several field sobriety tests, but allegedly did not pass them. As a result, she was arrested and taken to the Miami Beach breath testing room. Two breathalyzer tests were administered, yielding breath alcohol levels of 0.145 and 0.148, both of which exceeded the legal limit and were more than double the permissible amount.

According to the police report, an empty bottle of tequila was discovered inside DaniLeigh's vehicle, which was subsequently towed. The moped involved in the incident sustained significant damage and was also towed from the scene. Based on information from Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation, DaniLeigh was held in jail from 8.16 am until 11.45 am, when she was released after posting a $9,500 bond.
