Country singer Morgan Wallen worries about vocal health and future performances, source says it's 'scary'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After physicians advised him to take a vocal rest, country vocalist Morgan Wallen is concerned about his ability to perform, reports have exclusively discovered. When the 'Last Night' singer revealed in early May that he would have to postpone his six-week tour and an appearance on the Academy of Country Music Awards presentation because of his health difficulties, fans were upset.

An insider said, "This is a scary time for Morgan. He's still a young man with a whole career ahead of him. But now, he's faced with being afraid every time he opens his mouth that his vocal problems are going to dog him until he can't sing at all," as reported by Radar Online.

'His trauma may cause permanent damage'

The next three weeks will be crucial to his rehabilitation, according to renowned doctor Gabe Mirkin, who hasn't treated the top-charting singer. Mirkin said, "He needs to heed his doctors' advice — or his trauma may cause permanent damage." Wallen shared, "After 10 days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida and by the third one I felt terrible. So I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I reinjured my vocal cords and that I have vocal fold trauma. Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks, so that's what I'm gonna do."

'I've been trying to work through that quietly'

The well-known composer said that he was also being pressured to relax for another medical reason. Wallen said, "I also tore my lat [muscle] while we were in Australia, I've been trying to work through that quietly, but this time off is gonna help me get that back right as well." The vocalist of 'Wasted on You' claimed he received a warning that, if he didn't pay attention, his voice may suffer as a result. For the "longevity of my career," Wallen acknowledged that he had to make a difficult decision. He thanked his followers for their unwavering support throughout this trying time, as per reports.
