LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears’ bombshell memoir, ‘The Woman In Me’, reveals her strange interaction with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake long after their bitter breakup.
Excerpts from the book shed light on their strained relationship from 1999 to 2002, preceding the memoir’s release on October 24, 2023.

Speaking of Timberlake, who broke up with her via text, Spears recalled her ‘Gimme More’ performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007 and opened up about seeing the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer backstage, as reported by Page Six.
Spears wrote in a new excerpt from her memoir released on Tuesday, October 24, "It had been a while since I’d seen him."
The performance marked her return to the stage following her head-shaving incident, and she remembered the encounter with Justin backstage at the awards show before her performance.
“Everything was going great in his world. He was at the top of his game in every way, and he had a lot of swagger. I was having a panic attack,” she added, meeting Timberlake ahead of her performance, marking her return to the stage following her head-shaving incident.
She continued, “I hadn’t rehearsed enough. I hated the way I looked. I knew it was going to be bad.”
“I went out there and did the best I could at that moment in time, which — yes, granted — was far from my best at other times,” the Grammy-winning singer wrote of her performance.
She added, “I could see myself on video throughout the auditorium while I performed; it was like looking at myself in a fun-house mirror.”

Timberlake, who won the ‘Male Artist of the Year’ award at the 2007 VMAs, performed with Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, and other artists.
“Justin glided down the runway,” said the ‘Toxic’ singer.
“He was flirting with girls in the audience, including one who turned around and arched her back, shaking her breasts as he sang to her.”

Spears claimed she was pregnant with Timberlake’s child in a previously released passage of the tell-all.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she said of the pregnancy.
“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” Spears added of Timberlake urging her to get an abortion.
