LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears had to stop her birthday celebration after one of her beloved pooch suffered an apparent medical emergency. The 'Princess of Pop', who turned 42 on Saturday, December 2, had to rush one of her pups to a 24-hour veterinarian clinic at around 2 am local time in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, Spears who is known to have a soft corner for dogs, visibly appeared distressed and concerned while she made her way into a vehicle outside of her manager Cade Hudson’s home where they were reportedly having a “pre-birthday celebration.”
Her brother, Bryan Spears, was also spotted making his way out of the residence and holding a can of Coke. The siblings recently reconciled their relationship amid her divorce from Sam Asghari. The 46-year-old was dressed in a navy blue shirt, black jacket, newsboy cap and jeans, and pictured alongside an unidentified male friend.
The 'Baby One More Time' singer was dressed casually in a red and white flannel shirt, loose white pants and sneakers for the late-night run.

It is not clear as of now about what exactly happened to the Grammy winner’s dog. The animal does not appear in any of the pictures obtained by the outlet, but photographers reportedly claim they witnessed it being brought to the clinic. After the dog was reportedly dropped off, the 42-year-old singer was seen going into a gas station convenience store on the Sunset Strip with Hudson.
The longtime celebrity manager was photographed leaving the establishment with no shoes on and holding a plastic bag filled with items that appeared to have been bought at the store. Britney and her crew returned to the vet shortly after, as per TMZ, but it is unclear what the current status of her dog’s health is and whether the pet has been released.

Britney was recently involved in a custody dispute with her 29-year-old former partner over their five dogs after their split.
However, the 'Lucky' singer and former fitness trainer reached a deal in August in which she got full-time custody of four of the pets, including an Australian Shepherd named Sawyer, a Yorkie named Hannah and two other smaller dogs, while he became the sole owner of a Doberman named Porsha.

It’s unclear which of Britney’s dogs suffered the apparent medical emergency Saturday morning, December 2.
In August 2021, one of the pop icon's dogs suffered yet another health scare. Her dog sitter took the animal to the vet at the time, but then never brought it back home. A source had claimed to TMZ during that incident that the pet was taken away because of neglect, but another insider reassured us that the 'Toxic' singer “adores her dogs and would never mistreat them.”
Legal documents filed in 2014 amid Britney’s conservatorship showed she spent more than $31,000 on her dogs alone, including $1,585 on clothes and $5,205 on a sitter.
