Brad Pitt fans want to identify 'unnamed director' who described 'serial-killer choking method' to actor

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It's fair to say that Brad Pitt has experienced a lot. He has starred in some of the most significant films ever made in his career spanning four decades, including 'Fight Club', 'Seven', 'Inglorious Basterds', and 'Snatch'.

Pitt has collaborated with a wide range of talented filmmakers as a consequence, each with a unique style and approach to their work. He is, therefore, an expert in the field and the ideal person to consult with the many methods used on set to get the performance of a lifetime, some of which are unquestionably superior to others.

Pitt was asked just that during an interview with the BBC conducted last year in advance of the premiere of his comedy-thriller 'Bullet Train'. The 59-year-old actor, who was seated next to co-stars Bryan Tyree Henry and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, was asked if he had ever gotten any amusing remarks when shooting for a film.

Brad Pitt spills on the most 'memorable' note he got

Host Ali Plumb asked, "What is the most memorable you've ever got, across your whole career, not just in this movie. What notes have you been given?" Having one in mind, Pitt hops in and takes the lead and said, "I actually have an answer for this. I worked with this director, may remain nameless, and he goes, 'You know, when a serial killer has a victim around the throat and chokes them till they pass out and then revives them so he can do it again, do that!'" Pitt kept his word and refrained from mentioning the filmmaker in question for obvious reasons.

That hasn't prevented some of his followers from engaging in some amateur internet sleuthing in an effort to identify this director. A group of movie enthusiasts has been sifting through these YouTube comments in an effort to identify the "top contenders" who could be Pitt's "unnamed director".

So who all have fans named so far? After reviewing the actor's filmography, the first name on the list is none other than David Fincher. Although Pitt and Fincher collaborated on 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', it's more probable that fans are alluding to Pitt's appearances in 'Fight Club' or 'Seven', both of which are unapologetically brutal films. Naturally, Quentin Tarantino, who directed Pitt in 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' and 'Inglorious Basterds', has also been mentioned as a possible candidate, as per reports.

'That definitely sounds like something Tarantino would say'

One person commented, "That definitely sounds like something Tarantino would say." Others, on the other hand, thought he was really referring to Doug Liman, who helmed 'Mr and Mrs Smith'. Another user wrote, "Mr and Mrs Smith when he's in marriage counselling and pretends to choke someone." Yet another person disagreed, suggesting that it may have been Dominic Sea, with whom Pitt had collaborated on the 1993 film 'Kalifornia'. Sadly, we'll likely never find out until the man decides to tell us who it was, as reported by UNILAD.
