'Botched' Season 8: Dr Paul Nassif corrects Zaverie's crooked nose after two failed surgeries, 20 filler injections

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Zaverie smashed his nose as a teen while playing basketball, leaving him with a nose that looked like something out of a Picasso painting. After two rhinoplasties, the Toronto native's nose looked much worse.

In Season 8, episode 4, 'Botched' Dr Paul Nassif removed the crooked septal crest and inserted a new bridge made of rib bone, giving Zaverie a straight nose once more.

After two unsuccessful operations and more than 20 injections, Zaverie was pleased with his improvement three months later. He had finally achieved his goal. He had a messed-up nose for 6–7 years, but thanks to Dr Nassif, he no longer has any breathing issues. Furthermore, he believes Dr Nassif was successful in straightening out 90% of his nose, improving his quality of life.

Who is Zaverie on 'Botched' Season 8?

Zaverie flew in from Toronto to visit the 'Botched' doctors after two rhinoplasties and 20 filler injections failed to straighten his nose. Zaverie was 19 years old when he ended up hanging on the rim while playing basketball. The entire net collapsed, and the back board hit him in the nose, forcing him to bleed. He didn't realize he'd fractured his nose until he discovered a large bump on it two years later. The nose began to tip slightly to the left.

Catherine, Zaverie's mother, suggested they go take care of it. He had his first operation in 2018. After two procedures, the doctor was able to remove the bump but was unable to correct the nose, making it appear much more crooked than before. He'd been struggling to breathe for years.

What happened to Zaverie on 'Botched' Season 8?

Zaverie told 'Botched' doctors that he tried 20 filler injections in three months, but they didn't work. He was all set to have his third operation with the same doctor, but he pulled out at the last minute. It has now plummeted further. He had a follow-up consultation in Costa Rica, where he runs an Airbnb. But, in the end, he wants Dr Dubrow to work his magic.

Dr Dubrow began Zaveries' procedure by opening up his nose while the other doctors extracted his rib. The septal crest was then removed with a mallet, making it simpler to form the septoplasty, which would enhance his breathing. He then proceeded to implant the spreader grafts to pull the clap to the right side, restoring order to his nose. Finally, he employed articulated rim grafts to improve the symmetry of his nostrils.

Zaverie arrived for his check-up two days after the procedure in a lot of pain, which his mother blamed on his low pain tolerance. Dr Dubrow noted an 85% correction after taking a careful look.
