Happy Fourth of July eve everyone, or as it's better known, July 3. Other than Joey Chestnut, the MLB owns this time of year and the only thing that could make shooting off fireworks and downing lite beers any better is cashing in on some MLB bets.
You might not have the whole night to sit by the TV, especially if you want to celebrate a day early, so just take these two first inning over/under bets.
These are my favorite No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning bets of the day.

Royals vs. Twins -115
Joe Ryan is on the mound for the Twins today and he has been spectacular for Minnesota this year. He has a 3.55 ERA, but his advanced numbers are even better. For our purposes he has a 3.94 ERA in the first inning and is facing the Royals who are 29th in team OPS this season. Ryan should breeze in this start against Kansas City and it's important that he does because his offense struggles against lefties like Austin Cox.
Cox has only made one big league start and six bullpen appearances, but he has a 2.25 ERA and most importantly is a lefty. The Twins are 29th in RBI against lefties and are hitting .219.

Orioles vs. Yankees -108
Domingo German was perfect last time out, but that was against the Oakland A's, so it's a little like throwing a perfect game in Triple-A. It's still impressive, but it doesn't mean you're going to be great against big league teams.
Even with those nine scoreless and hitless last time out he has a 4.54 ERA in 15 starts. German has a 6.60 first inning ERA and might not be as locked in as he was last time out. I'm fading German after perfection.
