ST LOUIS, MISSOURI: Brittish Williams, a cast member of 'Basketball Wives,' recently made headlines for pleading guilty to over 15 federal crimes. Her charges include five counts for misusing her Social Security number, four counts of bank fraud, three counts of making false statements to the IRS, and three counts of wire fraud. She is scheduled for sentencing on August 23.
The US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri revealed that Williams admitted to under-reporting her income in tax returns and falsely claiming her niece and nephew as dependents. This is not her first legal encounter, as she previously evaded over $29,000 in taxes from 2017 to 2019 and faced an indictment in October 2021.

'Basketball Wives' star Brittish Williams pleads guilty to tax fraud
On May 24, Brittish Williams, a prominent cast member of 'Basketball Wives' and co-host of 'The Home Team Morning Show', pleaded guilty to 15 felonies. She was charged with bank and wire fraud, as well as misuse of Social Security numbers, involving a total amount of nearly $23,000. The charges included pandemic and insurance fraud, with nine applications for disaster loans, four applications for the Paycheck Protection Program, and one for rent relief in California. Williams obtained government loans totaling $144,000. The US Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri disclosed that she received $27,800 in rent relief and committed insurance fraud of $139,000 in medical bills. Additionally, Williams failed to file annual tax returns since her previous indictment in October 2021. Sentencing is scheduled for August 23, with potential penalties of up to 30 years in prison for bank fraud, 20 years for wire fraud, and five years for each Social Security number misuse charge, along with fines amounting to $3.25 million.
