A satellite image of Area 51 showing what looks to be a baseball diamond has fans coming up with some wild conspiracy theories to explain it.
Men are from Mars. Women are from Venus. Are MLB superstars like Shohei Ohtani possibly from a galaxy even further away than our own? It would explain the things he's able to do at least. Wild conspiracy theories are afoot as a satellite image from above the infamous Area 51 shows what appears to be a baseball field.
What's that thing doing there? One would think there isn't nearly enough time for the employees at Area 51 to play a game of humans vs. aliens. After all, protecting the galaxy is pretty important. But what if there's some sort of annual game between Earthlings and Martians we don't know about and the winner gets control of the moon? Maybe our planet's roster is just so stacked with talent we've never lost a game.
Let your imagination run wild with these Area 51 images showing a baseball field
Everyone has their own theory as to what this could be. There are the tame explanations and a few more outlandish and fun ones.
Wild conspiracy theories about perceived baseball field at Area 51
This gives Field of Dreams a whole new meaning. Remember the film Contact starring Jodie Foster when the alien visited her in the form of her father? The final scene of Field of Dreams feels a lot different if it was a prequel to Contact.
Another interesting theory. It completely explains Philadelphia sports fans but should strike a little fear into the rest of us. One of the biggest concerns about life beyond the stars is whether or not they come in peace. If Philly sports fans are the real aliens, they definitely don't.
Probably true. But how many military bases have been denied, later confirmed, and for decades been associated with unexplained phenomena? Don't rain on our conspiracy parade, buddy.
This could be the best theory of all. The field isn't too oddly shaped after all. What if it really is hiding an alien spacecraft underneath? What if, all along, baseball has been an intergalactic sport brought to earth? Have you ever met an actual person named Abner? It sounds very Star Wars-ish. Lore tells us that way back in the farm country of Cooperstown, New York sometime in the 1800s, Abner Doubleday introduced the world to the game of baseball. There is a lot unknown about the beginnings of this sport similar to the building of the pyramids, Nazca lines, and plenty of other ancient artifacts introduced to us by Giorgio Tsoukalos. You may know him best as "the alien guy with the hair."
According to many believers of ancient astronaut theory, there is little difference between what we believe to be aliens and our idea of what an angel is. The fact that Ohtani plays for the Los Angeles Angels is proof enough. The close proximity to Area 51 is an extra bonus. Why else is he rumored to want to stay on the West Coast?
The idea of baseball coming down from another planet explains a lot. The clues may have been here all along. The Big Green Monster at Fenway Park could just be a tribute to their alien overlord. Let's hope not.
