Well, that got out of hand. The Los Angeles Angels put up 13 runs in the third innings to take a 15-0 lead over the Colorado Rockies and did not stop there. The 25-1 final ends a three-game losing skid for LA and brings the Angels to 42-36. The Rockies are 30-49 and have lost nine of their last 10 games.

For the series finale on Sunday afternoon, the Angels will hand the ball to Tyler Anderson to make his 14th start with a 4-1 record and 5.64 ERA. He will be opposed by Austin Gomber who is 4-7 with a 7.25 ERA.

Let's get into the odds for this interleague matchup after a historic day yesterday.

Angels vs. Rockies odds, run line and total

Angels vs. Rockies prediction and pick

The Colorado Rockies will not be happy to see Anderson on the mound today after a blowout loss. Colorado is 28th in OPS against left-handed pitchers with just 19 home runs while playing half of their games at Coors Field. Meanwhile the Angels are ninth in OPS against lefties like Gomber with 26 home runs. Shohei Ohtani has a .909 OPS and seven home runs in left-on-left situations.

The Rockies might have thought things were turning around after winning the first game of this series to end their long losing streak, but they're lower than ever after yesterday. In this 10-game stretch they have allowed 93 runs and only managed 36 of their own. That's an absolute disaster and it doesn't seem to be turning around. They have a team ERA of 6.84 which is nearly a run worse than any other team in the league this month.

The Angels are favorites in this one and for good reason even with Anderson's struggles this season. The Rockies cannot hit lefties this season at all, so Anderson will have a good enough outing to allow his lineup to take care of business again. Hopeful the Angels didn't use up all of their runs yesterday because I'm taking them on the run line.
