Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has insisted he gets along well with Harry Maguire despite clashing with the defender in pre-season.
Onana joined United from Inter back in July and immediately flew out to the United States to meet up with the first-team on their pre-season tour.
During their 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas, Onana notably came racing out from his box to lambast Maguire after sloppily losing possession.
Ahead of the Red Devils' Champions League clash away at Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening, Onana was asked about his relationship with Maguire in a press conference.
"Harry's a very good guy, I have a good relationship with him, I spoke to him this morning before we took off," Onana said.
"What happened there was done straight after the game. I don't think we have to give too much to what happened, we are big guys and what happened on the pitch stays on the pitch, we have a good relationship."
Onana was also asked about replacing United legend David de Gea, who was released at the end of his contract this summer, while he stressed his confident style is important to the way he plays.
"I'm a very passionate player, I demand a lot of my defenders. We are in this together, being part of a big club is something great," he added.
"Manchester United is huge, I'm happy to be here. Replacing David isn't something easy, the start of the season is not what we want. It will come, I'm very confident.
"We all have to step up. We didn't start well but I'm confident we'll get it right. When I see how we're working I'm confident and excited."
Onana and United have made a poor start to the 2023/24 season, losing three of their opening five Premier League games.
