Al Roker laughs out loud as Carson Daly shades 'Today' producers for 'killing stories left and right'

NEW YORK, NEW YORK CITY: 'Today' host Carson Daly has a way with words and is not afraid to say something out loud even during his on-air segment. His co-host Al Roker could not contain their laughter as Carson unexpectedly called out the producers.

Turns out, Daly has been frustrated lately with the way 'Today' producers are handling which story is being pursued and which is not. Even though Daly returned after a while, the subtle and quick jab at the decision-making strategies of the producers threw everyone, especially Al, into a fit of laughter.

Carson calls out 'Today' producers on live TV

Al and his co-hosts Craig Melvin and Hoda Kotb cheered once they introduced Carson's segment 'PopStart' on air for sharing his dose of regular pop culture news. The 'Today' weatherman referred to 'PopStart' as 'the best time in the morning' and immediately Carson responded 'got to get with it'. It seemed as if he wanted the segment to be quick and finish without any major hassle from the producers.

As Carson proceeded to launch his section of pop culture news he abruptly called out the producers by saying, "They're killing stories left and right everybody". Al started laughing out loud upon hearing this.

Carson's frequent absence

Even though Carson may have called out the producers abruptly, one is left to wonder whether his pitches are being killed just because he failed to show up on his morning segment during important occasions. The pop culture news bearer only returned to his segment of the morning show last week after missing numerous episodes, only to host the finale episodes of 'The Voice'.

While he did have a good time hosting that show, it cannot be denied that the hosting the final episodes were incredibly emotional for him only because it had his friend Blake Shelton shoot his final episodes as the coach. The Sun reports that Carson was once again not seen during the Memorial Day segment as well and was replaced by Jacob Soboroff for delivering pop culture news to the audiences. Thus, the audiences are only made to wonder if Carson has ended up in a beef with his producers. Despite the assumptions and possibilities, he was able to make his co-hosts burst into an uncontrollable laughter.
