LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Whale' director Darren Aronofsky is set to direct the biopic of Elon Musk, reported Daily Mail.

The biopic is officially in development at A24, the company that distributed the Oscar-winning movie 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'.

The movie is based on the tech mogul's biography released in September, titled 'Elon Musk', by Walter Isaacson. It details Musk's journey to fame, his rise through SpaceX endeavors, the sale of a million cars via Tesla, and his attainment of the title of the world's wealthiest individual.

Addressing the news, Musk wrote on X in response to a post by X News Daily, "Glad Darren is doing it. He is one of the best."

Biography delves deep into Elon Musk's troubled relationship with his father

Isaacson penned the rollercoaster life of Musk by following his life for more than two years. Besides showing the SpaceX founder's current life, the author tries to paint a picture of Musk's troubled and tortured relationship with his oppressive father. According to Isaacson, Musk's childhood has deeply influenced his romantic relationships.

"Musk was not bred for domestic tranquillity. Most of his romantic relationships involve psychological turmoil," observes Isaacson.

According to Variety, A24 won the bidding war after a heated competition from studios and filmmakers to make Isaacson's book into a film.

Aronofsky's surreal filmmaking style often includes psychological elements, evident in his movies like 'Requiem for a Dream', 'Black Swan', and 'Mother'. It is to be seen how the critically acclaimed director will bring the billionaire's life into the screen.

Internet unimpressed by potential Elon Musk biopic

The news of the possible biopic of the Tesla founder has failed to evince public interest. Musk's public approval went downhill after he acquired Twitter and renamed it X.

Social media reactions suggest that it is hard for people to digest the fact that a director like Aronofsky, who usually focuses on psychological fiction, will be the captain of such a project.

One user asked, "Is it about Twitter or X?"

Another stated, "I can't wait to not watch this film."

"Is it going to be titled "to kill a bluebird," asked a user referring to the Twitter mascot.

A fourth user said, "Darren bro, why man. After The Whale you wanna make a film about Musk, what!"

"Oh no, is this the one where they will show that Elon Musk is a robot," another said in jest.

Users also shared numerous funny memes showing their disappointment over the project, saying they are not very eager to watch it.
